Feline Rights New Zealand is a response to ongoing anti-Cat propaganda in the mainstream media being spread by eco-extremist organisations including The Morgan Foundation, Forest and Bird, Wellington City Council, Polhill Restoration Group, and others soon to be named on this site. Our mission is to seek out and counteract the ongoing propaganda intended to demonize Cats, provide an alternative to educate citizens and counteract the lies being spread about Cats by eco-extremists and the complicit factions of the mainstream media in New Zealand.

We also seek to keep the public informed of the plans to place restrictions on Cats and restrictions on citizens who keep Cats by Local Government and the New Zealand Government, and actively oppose what they are trying to do. Together we will create a network amongst those of us who love Cats, share ideas, co-ordinate political strategy and tactics to defeat the eco-extremists who's ultimate aim is to deny citizens of their right to keep Cats and put as many Cats to death as they can.

Right now, the intention is to get the basic information Cat lovers need to know out on the web, and bring Cat lovers together to actively oppose the eco-extremism which now is a clear and present threat to us and our families.

What Is Antifelinism?

What is antifelinism? It's similar to antisemitism. In the case of antifelinism they are not out to eradicate a section of society on the basis of race and faith. Antifelinism is about eradicating an entire species, the most noble of species, the Cat.

With their plans for compulsory identification, curfews and mass exterminations, the comparison to antisemitism is crystal clear. All good New Zealanders of moral fortitude must make every effort to oppose what these extremist individuals are attempting to do, as sure as our forefathers made every effort to oppose the National Socialist regime in World War 2.

Environment Southland Regional 'Pest' Management Proposal

Consultation 28 August 2018 - 23 October 2018

28 August 2018 - Environment Southland Proposes New Cat Ban
Aerial view of the village of Omaui... A total of around 30 residences

Environment Southland biosecurity operations manager Ali Meade said in a statement to RadioLIVE:

"After that point there will be no new Cats. Once your Cat dies you won't be able to replace them" and "I think gradually we'll see people recognise that having wildlife thrive will mean having Cats inside - and when your Cat dies, then potentially not replacing it".

Between the 28th and 31st August 2018 the media broke the news that regional council Environment Southland is proposing a total Cat ban in the village of Omaui as part of their Regional 'Pest' Management Plan (RPMP) proposal. Additionally the proposal seeks compulsory microchipping and registration with Environment Southland of all Cats. Newshub was first to report on the matter, then those purveyors of one sided 'conservation' propaganda, Stuff and the NZ Herald followed suit.

28 August 2018 - Cat 'Owners' In Omaui, Southland Face Ban To Protect 'Biodiversity'

Breed Specific Discrimination Targeting Bengal Cats

28 January 2009 - Bengal Cat Rule Claimed Unfair
Bengal Cat

Environment Southland is also engaging in breed specific discrimination by proposing a "progressive containment programme" for Bengal Cats who they wish to list as an "exclusion pest". The discrimination against Bengal Cats by the council is nothing new, Environment Southland has had Bengals in their sights since at least 2009.

The news of the total Cat ban proposal went viral and was picked up by the international media. We've documented many instances of international media coverage, the next three links are an example of how this matter was covered overseas:

29 August 2018 - BBC - Why A Village In New Zealand Is Trying To Ban All Cats

30 August 2018 - The Guardian - Paw outcome? New Zealand Council Proposes Banning All Cats

30 August 2018 - The Express - Fury As New Zealand Village BANS CATS With Radical Plan To ERADICATE Felines

The commonsense residents and guardians of Cats in Omaui were quite rightly incensed by the prospect of the extremist conservation minority in association with the regional council walking roughshod across the customary rights of local residents who keep Cats. While some have described the proposal as having 'police state' ramifications, we feel a more accurate definition is akin to National Socialism in action, though in truth what we are confronted with now is Globalist Socialism.

Omaui resident Nico Jarvis cited the rat problem in the area and how the local Cats are valuable working Cats who keep the rodent population in check. She is correct on this count, remove the Cats and an explosion in the rodent population is a certainty. In ecology this is called the meso-predator release effect. This has been demonstrated and well documented in Raglan, Rakiura/Stewart Island and Macquarie Island and elsewhere following the efforts of fanatical fundamentalist conservationists engaging in attempts to micromanage nature, which includes the mass execution of Cats.

28 August 2018 - 'I Feel Hoodwinked': Southlanders In Absolute Shock Over Cat Ban

29 August 2018 - Claws Out Over Plan To Make Town Cat Free

Following the media frenzy and also the meeting with Auckland councillors detailed in our earlier report, Feline Rights and our friends and supporters who engage in social media work have been approached by many people who have asked:

What can we do about all of this?

We'd suggest a fair place to start is actively engaging in the consultation process with local government. The Environment Southland RPMP proposal is presently open for consultation. In this article we'll provide some suggestions for making your own submission. As the Morgan Foundation is well known for engaging in collective lobbying via the use of online templates published on both websites and at social media outlets such as facebook, it's very important that supporters of Cats make the effort to make submissions. We need the numbers and original submissions are way better than submissions conducted via pro forma online templates. Let's make a start by first downloading all of the consultation documents.

How The Corporatist Tail Wags The Allegedly 'Democratic' Dog

Environment Southland also provide forms for making submissions to their RPMP proposal. However experience demonstrates these are often deliberately designed to inhibit the input citizens contribute to the consultation process.

Additionally, it is common practice for councillors to not actually view submissions received from citizens and organisations. What happens is council staff review and condense the content of individual submissions into a single document, often in the form of a spreadsheet which is then presented to councillors when proposals go before the council for vote.

This all comes down to the Local Government Act 2002 which requires the regulatory function of councils to be separated from the operational function. In fact, the only real powers that Mayor or Chair and councillors appear to have in this, the corporatist era, are to set the rates, borrow money, enact bylaws and approve the Long Term Plan. It's 'democracy' if they say it is and the majority of citizens buy into the lie, but it's certainly not real democracy as we know it and expect it to be.

Councillors may ask questions of hired staff but may not give hired staff orders. Councillors and Mayor, or in the case of regional councils, the Chair, really only have a 'yes' or 'no' vote on an entire proposal and they do not have a whole lot of input options when it comes to the details. Under the present corporatised system, council staff are hired and fired by the CEO. While the CEO is hired by the elected representatives, council staff do not have to answer to elected representatives or citizens, so the real power actually lies with the CEO who is always going to be an overpayed individual of the management caste.

It's called 'privatisation', which is a palatable term for corporate fascism and corporate dictatorship. Italian dictator and leader of the Italian Fascist Party Benito Mussolini put it like this: "Fascism should more appropriately be called corporatism because it is a merger of state and corporate power". Our view is vice versa applies in Aotearoa at present.

We suggest downloading and closely reading the documentation on the RPMP proposal we've linked to above then writing your own submissions and not only delivering them to the consultation address but also sending them directly to the chairman, councillors and the CEO. While it may not make a whole lot of difference to that which has apparently already been signed off prior to the public consultation opening, it will certainly ruffle a few of the elected representative's feathers and let them know there is strong opposition to their draconian antifelinist proposals.

We have three weeks. Let's all do this, pull no punches and do it right!

Now, lets take a closer look at some of the antifelinists of the Southland region and who is pulling their strings. Some of what follows will be decidedly unpleasant, but unless each of us is prepared to look directly in the face of our adversaries and what it is they do, there is not a vast prospect of victory over these immoral and unethical individuals who seek nothing less than the total destruction of the customary rights and core values of average animal loving New Zealanders nationwide.

Cat Haters and 'Conservation' Fanatics

John Collins Ali Meade
Cat Haters and 'Conservation' Fanatics Left: John Collins - Omaui Landcare Trust Leader
Right: Ali Meade - Biosecurity Operations Manager for Environment Southland

John Collins is a relatively recent arrival in Omaui, he moved there in 2011. Within two years, with the full support of NZ Landcare Trust he began to flex his muscle and engage in killing for 'conservation'. We have collected a fair amount of intelligence on John Collins and Omaui Landcare Trust including some which suggests John himself is not exactly the most endearing individual when it comes to his interactions with those who do not support his position as a self appointed 'environmental' hero. Much of this amounts to anecdotes only at this point, but we can assure John and his conservation soldiers once we have obtained sworn affidavits as firm evidence, we'll certainly publish that which we already know.

John Collins and crew have been making a name for themselves in the media for quite some time, this next article published at Stuff in March 2016 makes some very interesting connections. Environment Southland, Department of Conservation, Invercargill City Council and SPCA who due to their connection with the subversive National Cat Management Strategy Group are without a doubt complicit in the ongoing demonisation of New Zealand's Cats. But wait, there's more!

29 March 2016 - 'Feral' Cat Colonies 'Threatening' Omaui

Omaui Landcare Trust in association with Environment Southland released a video promoting the doctrine of antifelinism which was produced by none other than the Morgan Foundation! So there you have it, Omaui Landcare Trust and Environment Southland are working closely with New Zealand's number one Cat hater, Gareth Morgan himself. We have no doubt the proposed total Cat ban at Omaui is intended as a test to see if they can get away with it there in the interest or rolling out total Cat bans throughout the nation. This is why it is important for all guardians of Cats everywhere to strongly oppose it. Do you live outside of New Zealand? No problem, you can still make a submission to the consultation in favour of New Zealand's Cats.

Do you doubt the possibility of banning citizens from keeping Cats throughout the nation? Then check out this next report published over at the TVNZ site. Scroll down to the bottom of the embedded video and view the small print just below it:

30 August 2018 - Claws Out In Omaui's Cat Fight As Felines Face 'Sunset Clause' On Their Population

While all of our computers refuse to play stupid streaming video obfuscated within an array of script hosted on brightcove, we'll quote the text in full and make it a little more obvious for all to read:

NZ Landcare Trust - A Crown Funded Allegedly 'Independent NGO'

NZ Landcare Trust Logo

NZ Landcare Trust is the larger organisation overseeing the Omaui group and they have another similar group of 'conservation' fanatics in Otatara. We'll get back to occurrences in Otatara shortly, but first lets take a brief look at NZ Landcare Trust. Established in 1996 they claim to be an independent non-governmental organisation (NGO), yet many of their projects are funded by the Crown. NZ Landcare Trust receives funding from the Ministry of Primary Industries 'Sustainable Farming Fund', Ministry for the Environment's 'Community Environment Fund' and Department of Conservation.

We also note that Forest and Bird cult CEO Kevin Hague is a member of the NZ Landcare Trust board. It appears they are working with all forms of hands-on environmental work via divisions around the entire nation with a focus on 'native biodiversity' über alles (as they put it back in the era of National Socialism). Thus, they have a strong focus on indoctrinating local communities to engage in the mass execution of alleged 'pests' and one could look nowhere better than their own 'Pest' Control Guidelines document to get handle on their position when it comes to Cats.

NZ Landcare Trust 'Pest' Control Guidelines (PDF 903kb)

While on the cover it states the guide is for Northland, NZ Landcare Trust recommends it on their website as a guide for community groups engaging in 'pest' control across the nation as a guide to how one might go about eradication of all non-indigenous life forms in the name of the indigenous fundamentalist ideology which infects each of their members minds.

Once you have downloaded it, go to pages 16 though to 18 where they expound in detail both their warped views covering what Cats allegedly prey on, which for the record in their view includes koura (freshwater crayfish) and eels! Here they also detail the methods one may utilise to execute Cats en mass. The methods suggested include various forms of kill traps, shooting and Connovation's dedicated Cat poison PAPP (Para-aminopropiophenone).

Next, let's take a look at one of NZ Landcare Trust's other groups in Southland, Otatara Landcare Trust. The following article published at Stuff will leave readers both speechless and in no doubt that the people involved with any one of NZ Landcare Trust's community 'environmental' groups are likely to be nothing more than cold blooded killers.

More Than Just The Average Neighborhood Psychopaths

07 September 2018 - Southland Man Says He's Killed 170 Cats And Buried Them Under Vegetable Garden
Ian and Jenny Gamble
Left: Ian Gamble as he is - Center: The Cat's eye view, Ian Gamble as the executioner - Right: Jenny Gamble

Given a cursory reading of the article dated 7th September 2018 one might be forgiven for assuming Ian Gamble is the standard neighborhood psychopath. In posts to the Environment Southland social media pages, Gamble made the claim he has killed 170 Cats and has them buried in his vegetable garden. When approached by the media he stated he made the posts to "rark up the Cat ladies of Otatara" and also claimed "I don't hate Cats".

His affirmation of the outdated stereotype of 'Cat ladies' coupled with his statement that he wishes to upset women who are guardians of Cats suggests it is likely he has some deep seated issues with women in general. If he actually has killed 170 Cats and then claims he does not hate Cats, that suggests a considerable amount of denial within his own psyche. The article states a complaint was made to Invercargill SPCA and they stated they were aware of the claim and conducting an investigation.

23 September 2018 - SPCA Quiet Over Southland Cat Killer Investigation

Two weeks later the media followed up with SPCA and asked how their investigation was proceeding. SPCA declined to comment about the investigation. If a prosecution was pending, that would be a good enough reason to decline comment, yet we have received information that from SPCA's perspective the case is now closed. If this is the case we do wonder why SPCA have declined to comment. In our view, a citizen who has claimed to have killed 170 Cats and has stated exactly where he has placed their remains should at the very least be subject to a full forensic investigation. SPCA do have animal welfare investigators who are trained in forensics so there is no excuse for SPCA to place the matter in the 'too difficult' basket. We'll be following up on the matter with SPCA and will update this article once we are clear exactly what is going on.

We decided to investigate Ian Gamble further. He and his wife Jenny operate an eco-tourism bed and breakfast lodge named Bushy Point Fernbirds. Going by their website it all looks like a pristine place to retreat for a few days, but for the fact that it's a house of horror where the Feline holocaust has been conducted with impunity. We wonder how many people would chose to stay there if they but knew the truth of the horrors covertly conducted in this place of iniquity.

Further investigation revealed Ian Gamble is not the run of the mill psychopathic loner, he's a member of the environmental extremist Otatara Landcare Group. Download the PDF file from the next link and go to page four. In the fourth paragraph on page four it states: "The Bushy Point pest control team of Ian Gamble, the Dustons, the Kennedys and Darren May are doing a great job of keeping 90 hectares free of pests". Clearly Gamble is not the head case he first appears to be, undoubtedly he is yet another fanatical conservationist and antifelinist.

Who is ES Biosecurity Operations Manager Ali Meade?

The many faces of Ali Meade
The many faces of Ali Meade - It appears killing for a living takes it's toll on one's constitution

Along with her position as biosecurity operations manager for Environment Southland, Ali Meade is also on the Southland branch committee of the Forest and Bird cult. In our view this demonstrates a clear case of conflict of interest and infiltration by Forest and Bird into a local government body. As she is involved with Forest and Bird, a group well known for incessant promotion of the doctrine of antifelinism nationwide, it comes as no surprise that Environment Southland now seeks the mandate to implement 'Cat free' zones on behalf of a small minority of environmentalist fanatics.

If Environment Southland wishes to appear impartial on the matter of Cats they would do well to hire someone else for the role of biosecurity operations manager and conduct a complete lustration of all staff who have an association with Forest and Bird and other fundamentalist environmental groups.

Ali Meade is also biodiversity Southland coordinator for Southland Ecological Restoration Network (SERN), She was once employed by Auckland Council as a senior conservation ranger, no doubt working right alongside the antifelinist and Sanctuaries New Zealand chairman Matt Maitland.

She is also on record as having made a submission to the recent Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) consultation supporting NZ poison manufacturer Connovation who requested a reduction in the notification area from 3km to 500m for the usage of the dedicated Cat poison PAPP. Her submission filed on behalf of Environment Southland may be downloaded here:

ES Submission To the Environment Protection Agency In Support Of PAPP by Ali Meade

In this article have presented considerable evidence of both major conspiracy and infiltration of Environment Southland by environmental fanatics. We've joined some dots and demonstrated the connections between some of the key players in this nefarious charade. If you love Cats and common sense, we encourage everyone to make the effort to compile and file a submission to the consultation. If we do not make a stand now on behalf of Southland's Cats and those who serve them, there is a fair chance wherever you live in New Zealand, in the future you will not be allowed to keep a Cat at all.

The Goddess Sekhmet The Goddess Bast
Feline Rights Directors: - Left: The Goddess Sekhmet - Right: The Goddess Bast

It has come to our attention that some advocates of Cats have tendered death threats to staff members of Auckland Council.

We have been warning from the outset that social unrest is an inevitable consequence of antifelinism, so this comes as no large surprise to us. In the interest of clarifying of our position, we thoroughly disapprove of illegal forms of protest action. We request members of both the pro-Cat lobby who have threatened council staff and those amongst the conservation movement who have directly threatened the lives of the Cats we keep via posts on Twitter cease and desist from all forms of threats.

Either you are a good citizen who obeys the law or you are an outlaw, there is no half measure on this count.

Under section 306 of the Crimes Act 1961, threatening to kill or do grievous bodily harm carries a maximum penalty of seven years imprisonment. Illegal protest actions bring our movement into disrepute with both the public and the media and thus they are counterproductive to our cause. Presently our challenge is a political challenge and one of the most basic rules of good politics is to oppose bad policy itself rather than directly opposing the individuals who are promoting bad policy.

We encourage all involved to engage in the practice of good politics and keep any protest action on the right side of the law.

Take notice Feline Rights will share intelligence on any illegal protest activities we hear about from both the pro-Cat lobby and the environmentalist faction with the New Zealand Police at first instance.

Auckland Council Meeting - Monday 17 September 2018

From Auckland Correspondent Julie Clayton-West

Anne Batley Burton intervied by media representatives
Anne Batley Burton representing NZ Cat Foundation and Community Cat Coalition
addresses the media prior to the meeting with Auckland Councillors. Delegates
representing SPCA, Paw Justice, Bob Kerridge, NZ Cat Coalition and Feline Rights
also attended the meeting with Auckland Councillors Penny Hulse and Cathy Casey

In no uncertain terms those of us that attended Monday’s meeting on behalf of all Cat lovers/owners and those Cats who through no fault of their own have no owner, advised Auckland Council and their representatives; Penny Hulse, Councillor of Waitakere and Chair of Environment and Community, Cathy Casey, Councillor of Albert-Eden-Roskill and Dr Imogen Bassett, Biosecurity Principal Advisor to Auckland Council that we were there to stop Cats being put into a pest category and why. That our stance on this is totally non-negotiable and if Auckland Council insists on proceeding with this we will fight them all the way.

Councillor Cathy Casey was there to support us as Cathy is an animal lover/owner and is also concerned about various aspects of the Council’s "Pest Management Plan". Thank you Cathy.

We greatly appreciated Penny Hulse allocating us a two hour meeting because to be very honest she didn’t have to do that but she did. So, credit where it's due to her. Thank you Penny.

* Cats cannot be put into the 'pests' category. The current three categories of Cats are 1 - Companion, 2 - Stray (including colony Cats that those of us who are group or individual animal rescuers pay to feed/desex/rehome etc) and 3 - Feral.

* Microchipping is recommended by all of us but the lack of a microchip shouldn't result in a life/death situation.

* Ian Robertson QC and legal representative for Paw Justice advised that he doesn't believe that Auckland Council has the mandate to change the three categories of Cats and that they will be challenged in a judicial review.

* We are very concerned regarding the stray/Cat colony situation as it was worryingly obvious that Auckland Council is confused on this issue and had conflicting and vague responses to our concerns.

* We are also concerned at how feral Cats will be killed. Our stance is that it must be humane. An instant death and not a torturous one that some rangers/contractors who work for Auckland Council seem to think are acceptable.

* Dr Imogen Bassett didn't engage with us at all and that really is a concern because she has a lot of power with her position within Auckland Council and frankly, it was extremely disappointing that she wouldn't respond to questions. I did ask her what are the nine native birds that are now extinct that she said were due to Cats were... Moa? Huia? She refused to answer or give scientific evidence of same.

* We must get the specific ecological areas confirmed as that is so confusing and again they were very vague on these themselves. We are not clear about their stance on our Cats on reserves in urban areas and neither are they. Penny Hulse said one thing and yet their Auckland Council "Pest Management Plan" says another.

* It was very encouraging and frankly a huge relief to finally hear the SPCA Auckland stand up and support our Cats and to confirm that they are very concerned about the infiltration of self-appointed groups going into schools and teaching children how to kill 'pests'. There is much more to be said on this subject but that will come from the SPCA Auckland either at the end of this year or beginning of next year.

We won't accept Monday's meeting being the one and only time our voice is heard for all of you. We will continue to work behind the scenes to do all we can and will update you when appropriate. Please share this post where you feel it will be relevant. Our Cats need us to fight for them.

Weapons Of Mass Destruction In Aotearoa

kitten and Quote

Opinion - Bob Kerridge - Animal Welfarist

The average peace-loving New Zealander may not be aware of it but, apparently, we are at war. If you find this difficult to comprehend, and a little frightening, for verification you need go no further than listen to the war-like rhetoric emanating from the people at Predator Free-2050.

This new, but generously funded, movement has a clear mission: To be rid of all predators, (whatever or whoever they may be), by the year 2050, with its website calling us to arms urging us to 'unite to fight'. The dialogue from command headquarters tells us that the 'threat of invasion is here' but that "we have an army of tens of thousands of New Zealanders' to undertake 'a military campaign to push the invaders back, just as we did in the last two world wars'.

This disturbing talk exemplifies a dangerous path down which we are being led which could result in an ecological disaster because of this new-found obsession to become predator free. In a recently published paper two eminent ecologists, Professor Wayne Linklater and Dr Jamie Steer, are critical of the methodology being employed: 'While Predator Free-2050 is well intentioned', they concluded, 'New Zealand's future conservation policies need to be less bombastic, and better informed by the environmental, ecological and social sciences'. In a separate interview Linklater went further when he stated that New Zealanders would regard being 'cruelty free' a far greater goal than 'predator free', an aspiration with which I totally concur.

Not surprisingly the troops being deployed to free us of all these predators is the Department of Conservation, (DoC), who of course are willing and able to do the job. In my naivety I used to believe that conservation meant preserving our special and unique biodiversity, until I heard the previous Minister, Maggie Barry, proudly proclaiming for all to hear that 'my guys at Doc are incredibly good at killing things'. Given there are many dedicated individuals employed by DoC who labour long and hard to preserve the lives of many of our endangered species, and more power to them, this was a foolish and heartless statement to make. It is little wonder that a number of previously employed high-ranking scientists are describing the current atmosphere at DoC as 'toxic' with a 'culture of war and a lot of discontent'.

Dr Arian Wallach of the University of Technology, Sydney, and Fellow of the Charles Darwin University, described the essence of conservation succinctly when she stated: 'The aim of conservation is not to generate an ever increasing (dead) body count, but to guide human behaviours to enable the rest of the earth’s species to flourish'.

The major weapon in DoC’s vast armoury, and akin to the H-bomb, is sodium fluoroacetate, (1080), a cheap and particularly nasty pesticide which is as indiscriminate in whom it targets as it is efficient in killing them. Registered as the most toxic pesticide by the World Health Organisation it was the only chemical weapon reportedly found in Saddam Hussein’s arsenal. 1080 is outlawed in a large number of countries, but to our absolute shame New Zealand has been using it since it was first trialled here in 1954. Despite growing public abhorrence, we are now purchasing 80% of the total supply, making us by far the largest user in the world.

The evils of 1080 are well documented including its permanent effect on our flora and fauna, destroying micro-organisms and insects, (the diet of many birds), the contamination of our waterways, human health risks, the slow and agonising death of untargeted animals, (both large and small), and also, ironically, many of the native birds it's meant to be protecting. And yet, despite this history I am told that last year 350 million poison baits were dropped on our little country, thus perpetuating what can only be described as a national disgrace.

So just who are these invaders that, as Predator Free-2050 advocates, need this military effort to defeat 'because it is a very insidious war they have waged against us'? The irony is that these so-called invading species have no ability or desire to declare war, or any concept of what is being plotted against them, or why, neither have they the ability to protect themselves or fight back. In fact it’s a bit of a one-sided war, rather more a premeditated annihilation I would suggest.

In reality the selection of predators that need to be killed is at the behest of the greatest predator of them all, humans, either because we just don’t like them, or they are introduced species and not native to our shores, or we have the mistaken belief that if we exterminate them our biodiversity will be rescued from certain peril. In general the reasons are unscientific and immoral, as are the weapons used against them.

Unbelievably cats are the latest animal to be selected as a targeted predator which will astound and horrify most people, but will delight rats, and Gareth Morgan. In an incredulous move the current Minister of Conservation, Eugenie Sage, wants to see kiwi wandering the urban gardens of Wellington, which would not exactly be their choice of where they would wish to reside given the human dangers associated with urban living, and their lack of natural bush protection to which they are accustomed. The Minister noted that to achieve this urban dream cats would have to go, parroting the demands of the insidious 'cats to go' campaign, requiring 'having cats inside, and when your cat dies then not replacing it'. So it's cats or kiwis.

Local and Regional Councils throughout New Zealand, who have never before shown any interest in cats, are now wanting to illegally label them as 'pest cats' so they can be destroyed without question, again acceding to Morgan’s dictate that 'any cat that is free to range should be a dead cat'.

That constitutes another declaration of war, and of course weapons of mass destruction exist, especially for cats. This one comes in the form of the unpronounceable para-aminopropiophenone, or PAPP as it is generally known, currently and unashamedly being trialled by the Hawke's Bay Regional Council. PAPP is as hideous as 1080 coming in the form of a paste which, once ingested, starts a process of dying which is inhumane and painfully slow, with death averaging an horrendous 3 hours and 51 seconds to occur. During the process signs of toxicosis occur, (head nodding, lethargy, uncontrolled movement and lack of balance), eventually advancing to unresponsiveness and collapse but fully conscious and aware, with final unconsciousness occurring only moments before death.

The persecution of cats, the country’s most popular and adored companion animal, is as unfathomable as it is without foundation. Ecologist Gary J Patonec, (USA), commented: 'What I find inconsistent in an otherwise scientific debate about biodiversity is how the indictment of cats has been pursued in spite of the evidence'.

I have to question, just what is the motivation that drives people to hate so vehemently that they are quite content to subject cats and other sentient beings to such extremes of torture before killing them? But remember we are, apparently, at war and the conservation soldiers are waging war to make the world a better place being totally oblivious to the probable ecological consequences of their extermination practices. The slaughter of one species on the pretext of saving another for the greater good in the name of conservation is reprehensible.

Predator Free-2050 claims to have an 'army of tens of thousands of New Zealanders', many of them recruited from children whose schools have received money and complimentary traps if they accede to the terms and conditions of war. Others are equally innocent urban families where the aim is to have 'a trap in every fifth backyard across New Zealand' which is creating a generation who, and I am quoting 'find killing animals weirdly addictive'.

Such a trend is deeply disturbing and I wonder where is the public outrage? Because these activities are often introduced under stealth perhaps people are not aware of where this war is leading us, what weapons of mass destruction are being used, or what the consequences will be. And where are the mechanisms in place that will protect animals from such abuse, or are there none? Are we just going to sit back and watch New Zealanders fall into moral decay?

French ornithologist Jean Dorst conveys some sobering and relevant words of wisdom: 'Whatever the metaphysical position is adopted and whatever place is given to the human species, man has no right to destroy a species of plant of animal on the pretext that it is useless. We have no right to exterminate what we have not created'.

I have no hesitation in adding my heartfelt support to that sentiment, as my dream for our country has always been that we respect and love all life, and that humans, animals and the environment can coexist in harmony, in addition to a belief that we can, if it is our will, realise that dream. Keep believing.

Antifelinism? We're Not Amused!

New Zealand is presently suffering from a form of mass psychosis, this has occurred due to a deliberate social engineering process intended to indoctrinate New Zealanders into a thoroughly extremist form of environmentalism. No sane person can deny that an ideology with killing as one of it's core beliefs is an abberation from the norm. Players in this ongoing social engineering campaign include both Local and Central Government, Local Government New Zealand, Department of Conservation along with various private organisations, for example Forest and Bird, the Morgan Foundation, the Next Foundation, Predator Free New Zealand and others which includes the complicit mainstream media.

Of particular concern to us is the ongoing unjustified demonisation of Cats and those who are guardians of Cats. This in particular has been ongoing and incessant. We've coined the terms antifelinism and antifelinist to cover those within the community who harbor a burning hatred of Cats and those of us who keep Cats in the interest of making the connection between the discrimination directed against Jewish people which occurred in Germany under National Socialist rule. The Jewish people were valuable contributors to society, yet they were demonised and summarily dealt with. The National Socialists went so far as to compare persons of Jewish heritage to rats, subjected them to curfews, required compulsory identification and ultimately consigned millions of individuals to death.

The comparison between what was done in National Socialist Germany and what is now being done in New Zealand is quite clear for those who have eyes to see and are not in total denial of it. Let's be clear, speciesism is a very similar abberation to racism, thus we feel the term antifelinism is an accurate representation of what is presently being conducted in New Zealand.

The Arbitrary Term "Pest Cats"

Let us begin with the term 'pest Cats' which has been used in the RPMP proposal. This is an arbitrary term fabricated by antifelinist 'conservation' extremists such as Gareth Morgan of the Morgan Foundation and his daughter Jessi Morgan, the spokesperson for Predator Free NZ. It has no basis under New Zealand law. New Zealand officially acknowledges three classifications of Cats: Companion Cats, Stray Cats and Feral Cats. The definitions of the three types of Cats from a legal perspective is covered in the Ministry of Primary Industries Companion Cats - Animal Welfare (Companion Cats) Code of Welfare 2007, henceforth referred to as The Code.

Ministry of Primary Industries Companion Cats - Animal Welfare (Companion Cats) Code of Welfare 2007

This is a code of welfare issued under the Animal Welfare Act 1999.

On page 10 of the Code is section 1.8, the glossary, which defines the three types of Cats as follows:

Companion Cat - Common domestic cat (including a kitten unless otherwise stated) that lives with humans as a companion and is dependent on humans for its welfare. For the purposes of this code, will be referred to as 'cat'.

Stray Cat - For the purposes of this code, means a companion cat which is lost or abandoned and which is living as an individual or in a group (colony). Stray cats have many of their needs indirectly supplied by humans, and live around centres of human habitation. Stray cats are likely to interbreed with the unneutered companion cat population.

Feral Cat - For the purposes of this code, means a cat which is not a stray cat and which has none of its needs provided by humans. Feral cats generally do not live around centres of human habitation. Feral cat population size fluctuates largely independently of humans, is self-sustaining and is not dependent on input from the companion cat population.

Our view is Greater Wellington Regional Council has chosen to willfully ignore the classification of Cats as defined under the Code and now attempts to collapse the legal definition of New Zealand's stray Cats so that stray Cats are informally classified as 'pest Cats', thus providing a fabricated loophole which GWRC erroneously believes will grant them license to conduct mass executions of Cats in the name of politicised 'conservation'.

The legal opinion we have obtained is quite clear that local government has no power to define a particular species as a 'pest'. This is the role of the Governor General acting on the recommendation of the Minister of Conservation under the Wildlife Act 1953. By attempting to collapse the legally defined categories of 'stray' and 'feral' into a single informal category of 'pest Cat' the council acts outside of it's mandate. This approach is totally unacceptable to us and leaves the council wide open to legal challenge should the RPMP proposal as it stands be approved by council when the matter goes to vote.

We will next document some of the senior staff involved with 'biodiversity' and 'biosecurity' at Greater Wellington Regional Council so all citizens are aware of who is who in these departments. On 03 July 2018 two articles appeared in the media covering the RPMP proposal, the first, a press release from GWRC published at Wellington Scoop, the second a media report published in the environment section at Stuff.

Wellington's Most 'Unwanted': GWRC Releases 'Pest' Hit List - Featuring Davor Bejakovich

The Good, The Bad and The Ugly

Center: Wayne O'Donnell - GWRC General Manager Of Biodiversity and Local Government New
Zealand (LGNZ) representative at National Cat Management Strategy Group (NCMSG).
Right: Davor Bejakovich -GWRC Biosecurity Manager.

Let's begin with Jamie Steer, in our view he is one of the good guys. From his thesis entitled 'The Reconciliation of Introduced Species in New Zealand' through various media articles and interviews on national radio, he has tirelessly acted as an advocate for introduced species and for a common sense approach to ecology and conservation. He recently co-wrote a paper questioning the logic behind the idea of Predator Free 2050 with Dr Wayne Linklater, Associate Professor of Conservation Science and Director of the Centre for Biodiversity and Restoration Ecology at Victoria University which is an eye opener to say the least. While we are not a great fan of Dr Linklater because of the numerous antifelinist articles he has published online via his sciblogs site, we raise our hat to Jamie and Wayne for their stance on Predator Free 2050 which they describe as a flawed conservation policy which displaces higher priorities and better, evidence-based alternatives.

Wayne Linklater and Jamie Steer - Predator Free 2050 - A Flawed Conservation Policy

GWRC general manager (biodiversity) Wayne O'Donnell was one of the Local Government NZ representatives who participated in the National Cat Management Strategy Group (NCMSG), along with the likes of Morgan Foundation general manager Geoff Simmons. NCMSG is a private organisation which advocates the mass execution of Cats via "a blow to the head with a solid object", "a head shot with a firearm", usage of a "captive bolt tool" and that "all methods should be followed by a secondary method, a throat cut to ensure that the animal dies from blood loss". Their entire 'strategic implementation consultation document' may be downloaded here:

NCMSG Strategic Implementation Consultation Document

See page 44 of this document for their recommended methods of executing Cats. See also page 52 where you may read about the "pervasive, intense and continuing campaign to 'educate' the public about the impacts of cats on wildlife and human health and the resulting need for culling", something no one can deny has been occurring across the boards on a weekly basis in the NZ media since at least 2013 when self styled übermensch Gareth Morgan began his accursed 'Cats To Go' campaign.

In a media article dated 13 May 2016 published in the environment section at Stuff, Wayne O'Donnell said his council strongly supported limiting cats to three per household, and even fewer in areas that were rich in wildlife. He is quoted as stating "Making companion Cats identifiable will assist with the control of unwanted Cats in wildlife sensitive areas. But unfortunately, many of the companion Cats are predators themselves". Whichever way we look at it, Wayne O'Donnell is no friend of Cats or their guardians and because he was instrumental in planning the Feline holocaust we encourage Wayne to immediately resign from his position at GWRC.

As to GWRC Biosecurity Manager Davor Bejakovich, his comments in the Stuff article dated 03 July 2018 we have linked to above speak volumes and are worthy of close attention. The RPMP apparently designates some $85,000 of ratepayer funds per annum to deal with the alleged problem of 'pest Cats' which the article states are "classified as not microchipped in an area where microchipping was compulsory; free living, unowned and unsocialised, and with little or no relationship with, or dependence on, humans.

Compare that description with the classification of Cats as defined under the Code and it's quite clear GWRC takes the Wellington regions Feline guardians as fools and attempt to fudge the law.

Davor Bejakovich is quoted in the article as stating: "It's very unlikely we will be trapping cats in the Wellington urban area but it would give us an ability around areas like Zealandia, to live-trap cats." If we take a look at the following image of Zealandia sanctuary it's obvious the sanctuary is surrounded on three sides by residential areas. If GWRC, it's private partners or commercial pest control operatives were permitted to trap Cats around the sanctuary, it is inevitable that much loved companion Cats will be captured and executed simply for being Cats.

Zealandia Sanctuary
Zealandia Sanctuary - Not the smartest place to put it.

Davor Bejakovich stated "If they're chipped then they would be returned, if they're not owned they would be passed on to a rescue organisation or killed." Alright, that clarifies things somewhat, he's happy to kill Cats if that's what he thinks is required.

Even if live captured and the Cats they catch return a positive identification via a microchip scanner, the Cat is still likely to suffer lasting trauma from being trapped and then mishandled by disrespectful cruel people who do not know how to handle Cats. Additionally, a trapped Cat will tend to revert to instinctual mode and display all of the characteristics of a feral Cat making it next to impossible for anyone to get a reading on a microchip scanner. Because of this we believe what is likely to occur is Cats they capture will be designated as feral and summarily executed in the name of politicised 'conservation'.

To the east of the sanctuary separated by a residential area is the Polhill Reserve. It is an area subject to intensive ecological 'restoration' and forms part of the arbitrarily designated 'halo' or 'buffer zone' around the sanctuary itself. This area was embodied into the town belt via the Wellington Town Belt Act 2016 during the watch of the rabid environmentalist Mayor Celia Wade-Brown.

The term 'halo' is one coined by the antifelinist Gareth Morgan and this 'buffer zone' was imposed on citizens who reside in the area without reasonable notice or consultation. The Polhill restoration project is funded by GWRC, WCC and the Morgan Foundation, it is home turf for the Polhill Protectors environmental extremist group lead by one Paul Stanley Ward, an antifelinist who once wrote an article which described keeping Cats as "a perversely self-destructive act, like smoking or eating only deep fried Mars bars". Joseph Goebbels himself would buy Polhill Paul a bottle of schnapps for such a grand effort in the propaganda stakes unequaled since the days of the Der Stürmer tabloid itself.

What happened is the native birds started setting up shop beyond the sanctuary on their own accord and the area was then defined as a Key Native Ecosystem (KNE). While GWRC has a page on their website which covers KNE areas, we are quite unclear exactly what administrative and political processes used to designate a KNE and we have yet to view any documentation which accurately describes scientific research methodology that is used to justify the KNE designation.

Because of this we are forced to the conclude a KNE in Wellington is similar to the "ecologically significant site" designation used by Auckland Council in that it's "not a specific technical term, but rather wording developed in collaboration with council's media team to communicate complex technical information to the public". In other words it's very likely to be a purely arbitrary term fabricated by the council's propaganda office which may be applied at whim by council biodiversity staff to any area of reserve land for any reason whatsoever if it suits them to do so including a burning desire to execute our Cats.

The Wellington City Council planning office describes reserve land as follows: "Our formal definition of reserve land is public land set aside for recreational, ecological, landscape, cultural and/or historic purposes and generally managed under a reserve management plan prepared under Section 41 of the Reserves Act 1977. There is approximately 4000 hectares of land managed as reserve. Road frontage is often called "road" reserve but is not reserve as defined above."

So, it's clear enough what GWRC's intentions are, any tiny area of reserve land where a single gecko lizard or fantail is spotted may be designated as a KNE if it suits them, and they hope that in itself will grant them a license to kill en mass.

We had not heard mention of Davor Bejakovich so we did what we do and and conducted an investigation and you will never guess what we found. Davor the Devious has been consulting with the Environment Protection Authority advocating the reduction of notification area for the dedicated Cat poison known as PAPP (Para-Aminopropiophenone) in the form of a formal submission from GWRC in support of the Cat poison manufacturer Connovation. GWRC would not have their own biosecurity manager filing a formal submission in support of this heinous poison if they were not intending to use it, so we'd better take a look at what PAPP is, how it works and what it does.

GWRC Submission To the Environment Protection Agency In Support Of PAPP by Davor Bejakovich

PAPP (Para-Aminopropiophenone) - The Zyklon-B Of Predator Free

Zyklon B PredaStop Zyklon B
Spot the difference - Two different poisons, their usage in enforcement of totalitarian political policy is the same.

Marketed by NZ company Connovation as Predastop, PAPP kills via hypoxia, coma, and death due to the inhibition of cellular respiration. Connovation's brochure states "The onset of symptoms is rapid and stoats and Cats are usually unconscious within 45 minutes", however the information we have received suggests it is a terrible inhumane poison:

After a cat has ingested a bait containing PAPP there is a lag period before signs of toxicosis such as head nodding, lethargy, ataxia (uncoordinated movement and difficulty maintaining balance), salivation and sometimes vomiting are observed. As the toxicoses progresses, cats collapse and cannot move voluntarily. They appear unresponsive, but still show signs of awareness until they become unconscious for a short period just before death. The duration of the lag phase, duration and severity of symptoms and time to death can be highly variable.

In a pen study of 31 feral cats that ingested 78mg PAPP baits, the average time from bait consumption until signs of poisoning was 3 hours 51 minutes (range 43 minutes to 15 hours). The average time from onset of symptoms to collapse was 72 mins (range zero to around 5½ hours) and the average time from collapse to death was 107 minutes (range 30 minutes to around 8 hours). So this bait can go either relatively well, or terribly for the animal involved. Feeling deathly ill, to actual death, can range from 43 minutes to 15 hours. The period from collapse to insensibility which is identified as a time where an animal is conscious and aware, but unable to defend itself or move voluntarily, can be anything from 30 minutes to 8 hours. A poison which leaves an animal immobilised, but conscious and slowly dying for anything up to 8 hours is anything but 'humane'.

Suffering: The lag period is likely to be associated with minimal suffering, however after the onset of clinical signs when cats cannot coordinate body movements it is likely that they will experience some distress, confusion and anxiety as they cannot perform normal behaviours (e.g. standing, moving, feeding, drinking, defensive and escape behaviours). Lethargy and weakness are also potential sources of distress. In addition—during the later phase of toxicosis when cats are unable to move but are still conscious—if they were not able to seek appropriate shelter prior to becoming incapacitated, they are at increased risk of predation (e.g. from crows, other predators), aggression (e.g. from dogs) and environmental exposure, which could lead to further distress and suffering.

End Quote:

When sufficient beloved companion Cats have been killed by Connovation's Cat poison that the public become aware of it, social unrest will be an inevitable consequence. This could conceivably involve outraged citizens interfering with bait stations and the associated risks of such action if PAPP were to be deployed in urban and residential areas.

We here at Feline Rights strongly discourage such action and would be the first to notify the authorities if we had intelligence on citizens planning to break the law. However, we cannot monitor the entire nation and there is no telling what some outraged citizens may do when they feel their family members are under a clear and present threat from Connovation's Cat poison being deployed in their locality.

Failure Of Microchips

Before we cover the matter of failure of microchips it is important to note that the current Wellington City Council animal bylaw was created via an illegal process. The bylaw was essentially back engineered and we have a considerable amount of evidence obtained via LGOIMA request in the form of emails shared between WCC councillors and staff which demonstrates this is so. Also, WCC first created the animal bylaw, then a year later consulted on animal policy. This is not the way of good democratic governance. If WCC were truly playing by the standard rules they would have first consulted on policy then created the bylaw. The fact WCC did the opposite and created the bylaw prior to consulting on policy would likely be frowned upon by the court and could easily result in the court declaring the bylaw ultra vires.

There is a belief microchips are an infallible method of providing identification. However some veterinarians disagree. Dr Alan Probert, a senior vet at Miramar Vet Hospital is on record as having noticed some microchips failing to scan. He expressed concern that "people are living with a false sense of security about the microchip's ability to track and find their 'pet' if it goes missing" and "My concern and I think it's probably every vet's worst nightmare would be that a dog or a Cat might be inadvertently euthanised, even though it's microchipped". Alan Probert also stated "the problem is occurring across a range of chip makers".

24 October 2012 - Vet Concerned At Faulty Microchips

In our second example, Dr Roger Barnard of Kerikeri Veterinary Clinic has provided the following statement about microchips to our colleagues at Northland Cats In Balance:

"To whom it may concern, microchips placed into animals can be useful for identification but there have been failures that have occurred. On occasions some expel from the animal soon after insertion, some fail to be read at some later date because of manufacturing failure and movement of microchip to other parts of the body".

The third example provides total proof that microchips are not an infallible method of identifying companion animals. In January 2018, Virbac NZ issued a recall of some 15,000 microchips which they determined are prone to failure. We append the product recall notification from Virbac NZ. We feel this is proof enough microchips can and do fail and thus microchips should not be used to determine who lives and who dies in the name of profit and environmental mass hysteria.

Auckland Protest 28 March 2018
Auckland Protest 28 March 2018 - The shape of things to come throughout the nation

While we have already seen protest action in Auckland, thankfully the protests there have so far been peaceful events. Go down the path of using the microchip ID to determine who lives and who dies and sooner or later companion Cats will be killed and once citizens become aware of it there is no telling what enraged citizens may do. The media will have a field day with it, those elected representatives who voted for it will not escape with their political careers unscathed and social unrest will be an inevitable consequence.

Potential Adverse Ecological Consequenses Of Removing Cats

The Mesopredator Release Effect

Modelling The Mesopredator Release Effect (PDF 360kb)

In truth, Cats as the apex predator are valuable assets who contribute to the control of rodents, rabbits and mustelids. Remove the apex predator from an ecosystem and this results in what is known as the mesopredator release effect. We append a paper from the Journal of Animal Ecology entitled 'Cats Protecting Birds: Monitoring the Mesopredator Release Effect' which covers the scientific perspective in detail. In New Zealand there are documented instances where the removal of Cats from a locality has resulted in a explosion of the rat population which in turn has had a marked adverse impact on birdlife. In 2013 in Raglan, persons known to be native bird enthusiasts took it upon themselves to kill all Cats they could find in Raglan West. One resident had six of her Cats murdered for the cause of 'conservation'. The local vet clinic documented a total of 16 missing Cats over a period of 12 months in Raglan West.

9 September 2013 - Raglan Cat Lover Wants Out As Killings Continue

Stop Raglan Cat Killer

Within three months, local ecological consultant Adrienne Livingston is on record in the media stating: "I am now observing the effect the marked absence of Cats is having on this suburban ecosystem". She expressed concern about the number of half-eaten eggs and dead chicks appearing, all killed by rodents the Cats would have dealt with were they still around to do their job.

18 December 2013 - Raglan Cat Killings Annihilate Local Birdlife

During winter 2016 DOC put the idea of a predator proof fence for Rakiura/Stewart Island on hold and decided they would first go after Cats. Media reports at the time suggested the Morgan Foundation and Predator Free Rakiura were involved in funding the mass execution of Cats on Rakiura/Stewart Island.

Multiple Cat killer Phillip Smith claimed "Getting rid of all the wild Cats would change the dynamics of the island".

14 June 2016 - Stewart Island Residents Back DOC's Plan To Get Rid Of 'Feral' Cats

Eight months after 'conservationists' began engaging in the Feline holocaust on Rakiura/Stewart Island, Phillip Smith was proven correct. The ecological dynamics of the island had indeed changed, but not in the way intended. The following column written by experienced trampers details their experiences on the Rakiura track and elsewhere on the island. They stated they "found large rats were everywhere, not only around huts and campsites but on all parts of the tracks". DOC staff confirmed a much higher rat count than seen for many years. While two successive rimu mast years and inadequate 'pest' control are cited as the causes, we have no doubt the wholesale execution of the islands Cats is a more likely cause of the sudden increase in the rat population on Rakiura/Stewart Island.

21 February 2017 - Rats A Symptom Of Something Rotten In Protection Of Conservation Estate

Documentation provided by the environmentalist movement claims it is "estimated that feral, stray and 'pet' cats kill up to 100 million birds in New Zealand each year". Estimate is the key word here, we have seen zero evidence based scientific research to support this claim. The bottom line is this figure is likely a huge overestimate provided by private environmental extremist and antifelinist groups such as Morgan Foundation, Forest and Bird and Predator Free NZ. Well known animal advocate Bob Kerridge's recent opinion piece published in the NZ Herald covered the matter of 'research' designed to demonise Cats in the interest of furthering the primary aim of the antifelinists which is the total eradication of all Cats.

1 March 2018 - Campaign Against Cats Is Using Shonky Evidence

Many of the misconceptions of the alleged impact of Cats on 'native biodiversity' and the suggestions on what may be done about it provided by the environmental extremist movement have been thoroughly refuted by competent common sense ecologists such as wildlife ecologist John Innes of Landcare Research:

15 January 2015 - Cats Not NZs Main Culprit Killers

22 January 2013 - Gareth Morgans Cats To Go Campaign Questioned

Consultant ecologist Mark Bellingham, who at one point was North Island Conservation Manager for Forest and Bird stated: "at night cats are actually really good at getting rid of rats and mice. That's the bulk of what they take."

We append a document by Alley Cat Allies which covers the matter of the 'vacuum effect', and an article from Science Alert which demonstrates the vacuum effect in action in Tasmania.

Culling Feral Cats Actually Increases Their Numbers (PDF 91kb)

* Remove all entries of the term 'pest Cats' from the RPMP proposal and abide by the classifications of Cats as defined under the Code. Failure to do so will inevitably result in legal challenge.

* Biodiversity staff need to purge themselves of the 'kill them all' approach, because by going down that path they may do more harm to an ecosystem than good. Remove the Cats and a plague of rats who will do more damage to bird life than any number of Cats is a certain consequence.

* Do not waste ratepayer funds hiring private pest control operatives, to deal with the alleged problem with Cats. These people are professional killers who delight in dispensing death and are highly unlikely to engage themselves in ethical live capture activity.

* Totally reject the usage of the inhumane Cat poison PAPP in the Greater Wellington region.

* Responsibility for the attempt to flout the law by including the arbitrary term 'pest Cats' must ultimately be laid at the feet of GWRC general manager of biodiversity, Wayne O'Donnell. He got that inconceivably wrong and we believe this was a deliberate act on his part in support of environmental extemism and antifelinism. Therefore he should either do the right thing and immediately resign from his position or alternatively the council must recognise he has miserably failed in his duties and thus should be immediately dismissed.

Remember: A vote for the RPMP proposal in it's current form which includes the arbitrary term 'pest Cats' is a vote for the Feline holocaust. Do you really want the blood of these beautiful highly sentient beings on your hands?

Auckland Council Regional Pest Management Plan Proposal

An Expensive Exercise In Genocide At Ratepayers Expense

Auckland Council intends to spend $307 million dollars over a period of 10 years to fund their environmental extremist pogrom against introduced species. That's $30.7 million dollars per annum of ratepayers money. While the likes of Lou Sanson, the Director General of Department of Conservation and William McCook, CEO of state owned enterprise Orillion, the manufacturers of the poisons 1080 (Sodium Fluoroacetate) and Brodifacoum will no doubt be fair rubbing their hands together in glee at the thought of the profit to be made from this exercise in death, if you happen to own property in Auckland or rent a property in Auckland, one way or another it is you, the ratepayer who will be paying for it and more importantly it is quite clear they are coming to kill your Cats en mass in the name of 'conservation'.

Usage Of Arbitrary Terminology In Service Of Death

On the subject of the 'biodiversity focus areas' designated in blue in the map above, the key point to be aware of is the legend states "Indicative only, sites my be subject to change over the lifetime of the plan". Undoubtedly the council wants this to be open ended so they may decide at a whim were they will next go about engaging in the planned Feline holocaust.

In practice we could see situations where property developers apply for a resource consent but the location has some lizards, so the developer agrees to engage private 'biodiversity' consultants to re-locate the lizards. The council suggests parkland right next to a residential area as suitable for relocation of the lizards, then designates the area the lizards are relocated to as an 'ecologically significant site' without even asking what the nearby residents think about the idea. If an area is designated as 'ecologically significant', the council will then go about executing everyone's Cats to protect the precious lizards who have been evicted from their home in the interest of both profit for the developers and to occupy the nutcases they employ at ratepayers expense to conduct environmental micromanagement.

Next, lets take a look at the term 'ecologically significant site', which the council has used in statements to the media. Late last year, one of our colleagues filed a LGOIMA request with Auckland Council requesting the definition of an 'ecologically significant site', The documents that describe the administrative and political processes used to designate an 'ecologically significant site' and the documents that describe the scientific research methodology that is used to justify the 'ecologically significant' designation.

The council's response to our colleague's LGOIMA request was an eye opener to say the least:

Screenshot from LGOMIA request

Read that again with care folks. Quote: "The term 'ecologically significant site' is not a specific technical term, but rather wording developed in collaboration with council's media team to communicate complex technical information to the public". In other words it's a purely arbitrary term fabricated by the council's propaganda office, pardon us we mean 'media team'. Chances are much of the other terminology the council is using, for example 'biodiversity focus areas' also amount to little more than propaganda intended to entrain the minds of the public into the mindset of politicised environmental extremism. Whichever way we look at it, it's clear to us this all amounts to deliberate fabrication of an open ended gray area intended to grant the council license to kill whenever and wherever it chooses.

Now, lets take a look at the most offensive of all of the arbitrary terms excreted by the council's propaganda office, the term 'pest Cats'.

24 Aug 2017 - Auckland Council Looks At Microchip Policy For Cats

The first media disclosure covering the nefarious intentions embodied in Auckland Council's regional 'pest' management plan proposal was published on 24 August 2017 in a media outlet well known for dispensing antifelinist propaganda, the Rodney Times. The article states: "Auckland Council is looking to broaden its definition of 'pest Cats' as it reviews its Regional Pest Management Plan".

As we have shared in several previous articles, the correct definitions of the three types of Cats from a legal perspective is covered in the Ministry of Primary Industries Companion Cats - Animal Welfare (Companion Cats) Code of Welfare 2007. This is a code of welfare issued under the Animal Welfare Act 1999.

Ministry of Primary Industries Companion Cats - Animal Welfare (Companion Cats) Code of Welfare 2007

The article continues, stating: "According to the council, the nationally accepted definition of 'feral' Cats are those that have none of their needs provided by humans, and the 'feral' Cat population size fluctuates largely independently of humans" and "But most unowned Cats in the Auckland region are classed as stray rather than feral due to passive interactions with humans". Thus it is quite clear Auckland Council is well aware of the legal definitions of Cats under the Code, yet the council has decided to come up with a completely arbitrary new term 'pest Cats' to replace the accepted definition of stray Cats under New Zealand law. Auckland Council has no mandate to redefine stray Cats as 'pest Cats', only central government can do that. By attempting to redefine stray Cats as 'pest Cats', we have absolutely no doubt Auckland Council are acting outside of the law.

Official 'Smoke And Mirrors', Convenient Omissions,
Obfuscation Of Public Access To Documentation And Meetings

Auckland Council appear to have made every effort to make it difficult for citizens to participate in the five information evenings and access documentation on their regional 'pest' management plan proposal. The information evenings were by invitation only, some of our supporters phoned Auckland Council and call center staff claimed no knowledge of the information evenings. One of our supporters shared this next report of experiences when attending three of the 'information' evenings:

Supporters Comments On 'Information Evenings

Our supporter's statement that Imogen Bassett denied all knowledge of faulty microchips during the information evenings was surprising and we confirm we have already notified her about this issue in an email dated 26th January 2018, we appended a copy of the following recall message from Virbac NZ detailing the recall of some 15,000 faulty microchips used for identification of companion animals. Either Imogen Bassett has not bothered to read our message and view the supplied documentation, has a very short memory, or she was simply was not being truthful to citizens who attended the 'information' evenings. Whatever the real truth of the matter, it is clear this amounts to very poor performance on the part of Auckland Council's senior 'biodiversity' staff.

08 January 2018 - Virbac NZ Product Recall Notification (PDF 235kb)

As we were about to publish this article another supporter presented us with the following letter sent to Mayor Phil Goff dated 30th November 2017. It appears the mayor was to busy to respond himself and delegated the council's response to, you guessed it, Imogen Bassett. In our view Dr Bassett's response amounts to yet another instance of official 'smoke and mirrors'. It appears to us the council has made up it's mind on what it plans to do prior to the consultation period and the operational directive is to fob off citizens concerns via official 'smoke and mirrors' in the hope citizens will look the other way while they proceed with the mass execution of Auckland's Cats.

30th November 2017 - Letter To Mayor Phil Goff And Council Response (PDF 359kb)

As to online access to documentation we found none of the web links worked. We investigated by viewing the sourcecode on their download page and were surprised by what we found. A line of code which says 'RedirectToInvalidFileName.aspx' and the links to each of the pdf files have the suffix '*$' appended directly after the file extension. Thus none of these files can be downloaded via this code. We took a screen capture of a section of the sourcecode so everyone who is technically inclined can see for themselves.

Screenshot of sourcecode for Auckland Council file downloads

The second media report appeared in the 'Local Matters' community news publication on 4th September 2017. The article states: "The role of Cats, including the domestic 'moggy', as killers of native wildlife is increasingly an issue raised with Auckland Council, resulting in new proposals for managing them in areas of high biodiversity".

This is an interesting statement indeed. Feline Rights emailed Auckland Council biosecurity manager Phil Brown and informally requested copies of the submissions to the initial consultation with key stakeholders. Phil Brown delegated the response to our request to Dr Imogen Bassett. The report in Local Matters states Dr Bassett is the council's environmental advisory manager, however at the bottom of her email response to us it states she is 'biosecurity principal adviser'. As Dr Bassett appears to be the person behind the five 'information evenings' and is the one fielding inquiries from stakeholders, it seems she is the one who has drawn the short straw of being the public face of the regional pest management plan proposal. When we last checked her profile at the University of Auckland it states her specialty is 'invasive species' but strangely her profile has recently mysteriously vanished from the University of Auckland website.

In the article, Imogen Bassett is quoted as stating "Cat control is already undertaken within Shakespear Open Sanctuary's 'pest proof' fence" and that "it's possible this could be extended to other areas such as Eave’s Bush in Orewa and the Weiti River shellbanks". We conducted an investigation of occurrences at Shakespear Open Sanctuary following the cold blooded execution of a companion Cat named Teddy in 2015. As part of our investigation we communicated via email with both the sanctuary and Matt Maitland, senior park ranger for Auckland Council. Matt Maitland's letter dated 4th August 2017 details how they deal with Cats not only the sanctuary itself, but also in the 'buffer zone' external to the not so 'pest' proof fence.

To quote Matt Maitland:

"Yes the cat had a microchip. A microchip does not confer any additional protection to the animal bearing it. It is a mechanism to assist identification of owner, assuming they take the step to register the chip and cat on the Companion Animal Database. Our policy is clear that any cats (or other invasive pests) found inside the fenced sanctuary will be killed to protect sanctuary values. Those in the buffer zone of parkland between pest proof fence and urban neighbours receive a 'one strike' warning if their pet cat is captured".

"To manage the biodiversity values of the open sanctuary we do not differentiate between domestic, stray or feral. All pose threat to the native fauna we seek to protect and enhance. In the case of any cat caught as first strike in our buffer zone we apply this only if they have some clear identification feature such as microchip or named collar".

End Quote:

It is clear what the council is presently doing at Shakespear amounts to nothing less than Nazi tactics and regardless of what the council has stated, by summarily executing companion Cats their actions are unquestionably immoral, unethical and quite possibly illegal. Now the council plans to expand it's antifelinist activities beyond the sanctuaries and execute Cats anywhere they like across the entire Auckland region.

17 March 2015 - Auckland Park Rangers Trap And Kill 'Pet'

Teddy the Cat had a microchip and collar, but was cage trapped then shot by park rangers in March 2015. He was first tracked via camera, and trapped in a cage trap some 800 meters inside the sanctuary's allegedly 'pest proof fence'. The following image of the 'pest proof' fence at Shakespear was captured at low tide and it clearly demonstrates the fence is in no way 'pest proof'. Any creature can just walk on in at low tide. The sanctuary website confirms this fact with the statement: "there is a constant risk of re-invasion around the ends of the fence or through the fence due to the open public access".

Shakespear 'Pest Proof' Fence
The open ended not so 'pest proof fence at Shakespear Open Sanctuary. At low tide any
creature can just walk on in to the sanctuary itself. If Auckland Council is serious about
keeping the wildlife at the sanctuary safe, they would do well to fully secure the fencing
before engaging in Nazi tactics aimed at the companion animals of local residents.

Morgan Foundation Collective Lobbying

Dr Bassett was kind enough to respond to us in her official capacity and provided a copy of the consultation summary document. While the council has not at this stage released the full text of submissions received to the initial key stakeholder consultation, she has assured us all submissions will be available to the public as part of the public consultation process between 28th February and 28 March 2018. One week into the consultation process and these still have not been released for the public to download and view. The consultation summary itself was an eye opener in that 140 of the total of 200 submissions received which mentioned Cats were collective lobbying from the antifelinists of Gareth Morgan's hate group, the Morgan Foundation. It appears to us the council has based it's position on Cats embodied in the RPMP proposal entirely around the lobbying of the antifelinists at the Morgan Foundation.

Auckland Council RPMP Consultation Summary Screenshot 1
Screenshot from the RPMP Consultation Summary
140 of 200 submissions on Cats were 'pro forma' from the Morgan Foundation

It is not a smart move for the council to be referencing the collective opinion of a small group of extremists which happens to have a burning hatred of Cats as one of the cornerstones of it's policy and it is particularly disturbing to see the submissions from the Morgan Foundation are listed as 'pro forma'. This suggests to us the Morgan Foundation were permitted to run an online form on their own website as they did for the Wellington City Council Animal Bylaw Review 2016. Probably all of the submissions were sent from the same email address: shannon(at)morganfoundation.org.nz.

New Zealand Extremists: Spot The Difference If You Can

Bishop Brian Tamaki Gareth Morgan Kyle Chapman
Bishop Brian Tamaki - Homophobe -- Gareth Morgan - Antifelinist -- Kyle Chapman - White Nationalist

Feline Rights NZ strongly disapproves of the council allowing the Morgan Foundation to run a template on their own website in relation to Cats. It is the equivalent of allowing Bishop Brian Tamaki to run a template on the Destiny Church website for a consultation on gender diversity and LGBTQ rights, or allowing the White Nationalist movement to run a template on their website for a consultation about race relations and the value of multiculturalism. While in the interest of upholding the democratic process, every citizen and private group in Aotearoa has the right to share their opinion with government, we'd suggest a limitation of one submission per organisation and if supporters of an organisation wish to add their voice, any further submissions should only be accepted if tendered from the individual supporters own email address.

16 Nov 2017 - Auckland Council Cat Cull On Cards For 'Moggies' Found Without Microchips

Auckland Council biosecurity manager Phil Brown's statement "it's not a reactive programme" says it all. As this is not a reactive program where the council reacts when it becomes aware of specific instances where it is actually proven beyond a doubt there are Cats predating on protected species in a particular location, it is quite clear the council intends to run an active program where it seeks out and kills every Cat it can locate. The real proof of the intentions of the council is contained in the Matt Maitland letter, where Matt states "we do not differentiate between domestic, stray or feral. All pose threat to the native fauna we seek to protect and enhance". The council intends to kill all Cats regardless of legal classification.

In this report, Phil Brown uses every argument in the environmental extremist's book to demonise Cats in any way he can, at this point we are uncertain if this is because he is deluded by the opinions of the fundamentalist 'conservationists' or if he is simply a Cat hater engaged in a futile attempt to justify his position. He is also on record spouting the tired old line of 'keeping Cats in at night', an idea thoroughly refuted by competent common sense ecologists such as wildlife ecologist John Innes of Landcare Research,(1) (2) and consultant ecologist Mark Bellingham, who at one point was North Island Conservation Manager for Forest and Bird (3) .

Phil Brown claims Cats as carriers of toxoplasmosis are a threat to Hector's dolphins. We've read the scientific paper he's referencing on that count and the evidence of this allegation against Cats is very slim. There is no real evidence Cats pose a threat to the dolphins due to toxoplasmosis and every Cat in New Zealand would need to be eradicated if one wanted to truly eliminate this alleged threat to the dolphins. Members of the Auckland pro-Cat lobby took Phil Brown to task about the supposed threat to Hectors's dolphins and he is on record as having backed off from this allegation against the Cats.

The article states "Cats without microchips found roaming in 'sensitive environments' will be killed under Auckland Council's new pest eradication programme". This was published over three months ago. Either the media are incorrect with that statement or it actually reflects the intentions of Auckland Council. As Auckland Council has not applied to Fairfax Media to have the article corrected, we can only assume the media statement accurately reflects the council's intentions.

16 Nov 2017 - Cat Lovers Furious Over Auckland Council's Cat Cull Plans

In the previous article, Councillor Daniel Newman warned the council should be prepared for backlash from we who are guardians of Cats and Councillor Newman is correct. The next day, NZ Cat Foundation president Anne Batley-Burton was on RadioLIVE speaking out against the antifelinists who have infiltrated the council. She stated her organisation intends to fight the council on the issue. For the record, Feline Rights will also take the council to task for their grossly unethical intentions.

16 Nov 2017 - Auckland Council Clarifies Proposed Cat Killing Plans

Before the day was over the council went into damage control mode and Phil Brown claimed the proposed approach did not involve controlling non-microchipped cats in urban areas. Brown stated the plan "represents the continuation of current practice". Well, if you have taken the time to read the Matt Maitland letter in it's entirety you will be clear on what this means. No Cat anywhere be it a truly 'feral' Cat, stray Cat or companion Cat will be safe from the scourges of antifelinism and environmental mass hysteria. Phil Brown stated "We would never start 'pest' cat control at a new site without letting the community know first". We assume this means the council intends to emulate what they have been doing at residences surrounding Shakespear Open Sanctuary. This amounted to a flyer drop in mailboxes intended to intimidate residents into containing their Cats or face the prospect of having their Cats shot by environmental fascists employed by the council.

This appears to us to be quite similar in some ways to Hitler Youth. No consolation to four year old Kyah, who's
best friend was executed in cold blood via a shot to the chest by the 'conservation' nazis at Shakespear.
Shakespear Open Sanctuary Cat 'Owners' 'Information' Flyer (PDF - 524kb)

In our opinion this amounts to nothing more than threatening residents and their families into compliance with the wishes of the environmental extremists who have infiltrated the council. The council flyer delivered to residents states:

"If a cat or any large predator is identified inside the sanctuary beyond the pest-proof fence, it will be shot in order to protect the native wildlife in the sanctuary". "This summer we will continue to apply a 'one strike' policy for domestic cats found in the buffer zone, the area located just before the pest proof fence line. If we sight or capture a cat in this buffer zone we will make reasonable attempts to identify its owner so it can be returned, but with a warning that if it happens again the cat will be shot. Regrettably, if the owner cannot be located, the cat will have to be shot". Nazi tactics pure and simple, no doubt about it.

Anne Batley Burton Alison Mau
Left: Anne Batley Burton - Feline Advocate - Right: Alison Mau - Presstitute

Two articles were published in the Sunday Star Times on 25 February 2018. The first covered the position of the pro-Cat lobby featuring Anne Batley Burton of NZ Cat Foundation and Craig Dunn of Paw Justice. Anne and her team of volunteers run a Cat sanctuary and have rescued innumerable stray Cats in the Auckland region. The image on the front page of the print edition was a paste up of an image of Anne along with the antifelinist Gareth Morgan. We query why the press constantly references Morgan on the subject of Cats, he's an opinionated abrasive old sod and has zero hands on experience with Feline welfare work, thus is totally unqualified to pass comment on Cats. At any rate it was refreshing to see an article in the mainstream media covering the position of the pro-Cat lobby for once, but disappointing to see the media chose to compromise the article by including coverage of Morgan and the accursed National Cat Management Strategy Group.

Thanks Anne and Craig for your tireless efforts on behalf of our four pawed friends.

25 Feb 2018 - Alison Mau - We Have A 'Split Personality' When It Comes To Cats

The second article was a highly offensive opinion column by journalist Alison Mau. Those of us who are educated in the language of the ancient Egyptians will be aware the term 'Mau' in Egyptian translates as 'Cat' and having read this article we feel Alison would do well to change her second name to something else. But enough of taking a personal swipe at one who is clearly nothing more than a presstitute, let's take a brief look at exactly why we who serve Cats find her opinion column so offensive and also take a look under the hood at how the mainstream media spun these two articles side by side in favour of the environmental fundamentalists and antifelinists within our midst.

Both articles are dated 0500hrs, so the articles were prepared earlier and published online as first task once staff began work. Keep this in mind because it's a very important point. The Alison Mau opinion piece cites the article covering Anne and Craig's position before it was even published, so she has had that copy pass across her desk before the other article made it into print. While some may call this 'balanced journalism', we'd call it debunking as an internal process of the first order.

Alison's opinion piece opens with one of the standard techniques of propaganda, a cute furry animal story. The intention behind the opening lines is to trick readers into dropping their shields and opening their heart chakras to make them vulnerable to the assault which follows. In this case the opening lines cover the Cats she keeps and how one of them decided there was a better place live. Cats will do this if they feel they are not respected, if service is not up to standard or if the humans of the house treat them as cuddly toys. We figure when it comes to Cat care Alison would do well to up her game.

The article then suggests the guardians of Cats are "self deluding" and that members of both the pro-Cat lobby and the predator free advocates are "extremists". Well, we were just doing our thing and taking care of our Cats and any other Cats in need who present to us, then we were confronted by the incessant orchestrated libelous propaganda campaign against the Cats in the mainstream media. The antifelinists became a clear and present threat to our families and now when folks speak out about this huge problem, we are designated as extremists. We are not extremists, we are standing up for our families. the antifelinists are the extremists. Alison directly accuses Anne Batley Burton of "indulging in a form of speciesism", which is the best example of the pot calling the kettle black we have seen in a long time.

Readers, ask yourselves: Who are the real extremists who are indulging in speciesism?

The deranged environmental nutcases who are working ceaselessly via a thoroughly organised and ongoing campaign in the mainstream media to demonise all non indigenous life forms, engaging themselves in trapping everything they can catch and openly stating they find the art of killing creatures is 'addictive', not to mention indoctrinating children to follow in their footsteps and kill on a massive scale. Or the good citizens who are in fear of the lives of their Feline family members due to the ceaseless anti-Cat propaganda and now have no choice but to speak out about it?

We'll end this article with a couple of links to very well written articles by one of New Zealand's best known animal advocates, Bob Kerridge. These speak for themselves, if you have not checked out any of the other links we have shared in this article we recommend everyone read these, Bob is really on the ball.

Local Government NZ Votes In Favor Of Draconian Antifelinist Policy

Cat Control Ranger.jpg
Fascist Cat Rangers - Coming to your neighborhood soon?

On 25 July 2017, Local Government NZ voted by a slim margin of 51% in favour of lobbying the NZ Government for draconian antifelinist legislation across the entire nation. The proposed measures include compulsory desexing, compulsory microchipping, night curfews, forcing Cats to wear collars with bells and 'Cat rangers' to enforce the proposed legislation.

Prior to the vote, our friends at NZ Cat Coalition compiled a briefing paper which was sent to every mayor and councillor in New Zealand. NZCC have kindly granted permission for us to share the briefing paper, it has our highest recommendation.

Cats And Local Government - A Briefing Paper (PDF - 702kb)

Cats who have not been microchipped will be put to death, simply for being Cats.

One of the main changes the councils and their antifelinist cronies at LGNZ are likely to seek is the complete expungement of the 'stray' designation from the Animal Welfare Act, leaving the designations of 'owned', meaning Cats with a functional microchip and 'feral' meaning any Cat who does not immediately return an identification when scanned with a microchip scanner. Any Cat who does not return an ID when scanned will likely be immediately executed simply for being a Cat.

On Page 44 of the National Cat Management Strategy Discussion Paper dated September 2017, recommended methods of execution are listed as a blow to the head with a solid object or a head shot with a firearm or alternatively a captive bolt gun. NCMSG also suggest cutting the throats of Cats afterwards to ensure they have been killed.

It beggars belief that SPCA, NZ Veterinary Association and NZ Companion Animal Council have senior staff acting in their official capacity as members of the National Cat Management Strategy Group. Our view is none of these organisations can be trusted until all of their staff who are involved with NCMSG are dismissed from SPCA, NZVA and NZCAC. Additionally. each of these organisations must admit they are wrong and tender formal apologies in the media for what they have planned.

Chances are the microchip ID will also be used to issue infringement notices to those citizens who have complied with the registration directive. This means if your Cats are implanted with a microchip and happen to not be wearing a collar with a bell on it, or you have failed to lock your Cats up during the hours of darkness, or your Cats wander into a supposed 'wildlife sensitive zone', you will be given an infringement notice and a fine. That is assuming the antifelinists do not just execute your Cats even if they have the microchip ID as Auckland park rangers have been doing at Shakespear Open Sanctuary (1).

25 July 2017 - Local Government Vote In Favor Of Sugary Drinks And Cat Control Policies
Fairfax Media Environmental News Index Screenshot

Following the vote, only one article appeared on 25 July 2017 at Fairfax Media's 'Stuff' website. Fairfax Media obfuscated the article in the environment news index by listing the headline as "Sugary drinks policy vote", as can be seen from the screenshot we captured above. One actually has to view the article itself to notice the complete headline which reads "Local government vote in favour of sugary drinks and 'Cat control' policies". This suggests to us the hidden powers who in our opinion direct Fairfax Media to dispense propaganda for social engineering purposes wanted this report to slip through without being noticed too much lest a public outcry be precipitated.

Radio NZ quoted Dunedin councillor Aaron Hawkins (Green) as stating "We're increasingly getting the message from our community that they want to be able to give effect to our ambitions as a predator free nation and we can't do that unless we address the issue of the impact Cats have on our environment". Thanks for outing yourself as an antifelinist Aaron, we'll be watching you forever. Cat hater, WCC Councillor Iona Pannett (Green) "welcomed the move", no surprises there. Invercargill mayor Tim Shadbolt, who's council already restricts citizens from keeping any more than three Cats per household and uses captive bolt guns to execute dogs reaffirmed his antifelinist sentiments with the statement "It gives us the authority to take action on it once we've got a policy". Would you like a peaked cap, armbands and set of jackboots with your order, Tim?

RNZ Article Quote 170725
Screenshot from the RNZ Article dated 25 July 2017 'Councils Seek Greater Powers To Control Cats'

The above quote is a prime example of how the mainstream media manipulates words and manipulates the facts to warp the truth. The fact of the matter is at present, central government itself has no 'national Cat management strategy' at all.

All that has occurred is LGNZ, an industry association for the local government sector with zero statutory function or rights, has voted by the slimmest of margins to begin the process of lobbying central government. It appears to us LGNZ has chosen this course of action due to careful manipulation by both the Morgan cult and the subversive National Cat Management Strategy Group, which includes three LGNZ representatives amongst it's ranks. This is an object lesson in how the mainstream media works to program the inattentive masses, slipping a statement in that is not true with the intention of programming the minds of citizens to believe something is true when it clearly isn't. But wait, we have another example!

Rodney Times Article Quote 170801

01 Aug 2017 - 'Cat Curfew' Divides Rodney Residents

A similar deceptive approach intended to manipulate the minds of citizens appeared in the Rodney Times on 1 August 2017. The headline states "'Cat Curfew' Divides Rodney Residents", however the truth of the matter is there is no 'Cat curfew' in place in Rodney or anywhere else in New Zealand at this time. Clearly a headline like this is intended to normalise the idea of 'Cat curfews' in the eye of the public as part of the mainstream media's orchestrated libelous propaganda campaign against the Cats. The information we have received states the article is based around a mere 23 replies to the initial post at the Rodney Times page on the Neighbourly social media website. For the record Fairfax Media own 22.5% of the Neighbourly site and as the article includes a direct link to the Rodney Times page at Neighbourly, it appears this article has the dual purpose of not only misinforming the public about the non-existent 'Cat curfew' mentioned in the headline, but is also intended to drive traffic to the Neighbourly site. Essentially the article amounts to clickbait in service of post-truth politics.

NZ Herald Supports The Position Of The Antifelinist Gareth Morgan

29 July 2017 - Bush And Parks Could Hear Birdsong Again

The print edition of this NZ Herald weekend editorial was entitled "Morgan's Conservation Plan Far From Catastrophic". We're not sure what the NZ Herald is trying to achieve in this instance by using two different headlines for the online and print editions, but the article promotes the views and misconceptions of New Zealand's number one antifelinist, TOP Party leader and wanna be dictator, Mr Gareth Morgan. The article promotes the misconception that "Feral cats are usually 'pets' that have been abandoned, neglected or escaped". In truth, those Cats who have been "abandoned, neglected or escaped" generally would be classified as 'strays' under the Animal Welfare Act. True 'feral' Cats are born and bred in the wild, fend for themselves and have zero contact with humans. Our opinion is the editor is consciously making the best effort to convince readers to think of 'stray' Cats as 'feral' Cats.

The article states Cats are "normally indifferent to commands". That's true to some extent, but it's easy enough to direct Cats if one knows how to go about it. Once the engineered ongoing media campaign demonizing Cats has been consigned to history's trashcan right beside antisemitism and other forms of manufactured discrimination, we'll show you how to go about directing Cats. For now, we state Cats are a totally different species to dogs and authoritarian shouted commands are not about to work with Cats. Additionally, while collars work just fine on dogs, collars are proven to be a health risk for Cats.

The editorial states "The animal has chosen to make your home its own as long as you feed it". Again, not a whole lot of thought has gone into this and clearly the author is lacking in spiritual insight. While food and shelter are factors, there are all sorts of other reasons a Cat may chose to grace one with it's presence in your home. Those who keep Cats already know this, those lesser humans who have allowed themselves to become disconnected from their souls and thus are barren of the power of the heart will never understand until they re-engage the connection with their hearts and souls if they can.

Also included is the questionable assumption that Cats are "contributing to the diminished birdlife these days in the bush and urban parks" and makes the blatantly untrue claim that "almost the only place most Kiwis hear this country's native birdsong is when they walk past a recording of it". Our response to this is while we concede true 'feral' Cats in the bush will be catching whatever they can in order to survive, every day our garden is visited by numerous native birds. Kaka, ruru, tui, fantail, silvereye to name a few, and we also keep Cats. We have never once witnessed our Cats or our neighbours Cats engage themselves in predating on birds. Either the editor of the NZ Herald needs to wise up to the facts, or for one reason or another the editor is dispensing disinformation on behalf of the Morgan cult.

The article closes with the statement "Cat lovers should listen". To which we respond, we are researching and documenting each organisation and each individual who has chosen to engage themselves in antifelinism. None of this will be forgotten.

26 July 2017 - Dunedin City Council 'Cat Management' Proposal Passes Vote

This article gives us a little more information and quotes one Dr Helen Beattie of Otago SPCA. We're familiar with her, she is one of the New Zealand Veterinary Association representatives amongst the subversives who comprise the National Cat Management Strategy Group (NCMSG). Helen Beattie is quoted as stating the strategy and remit were "about cultural change of how we engage and have Cats in our lives and our environment". Interesting, compare Beattie's statement with this statement from the antifelinist Geoff Simmons of the Morgan cult made in March 2015: "Realistically, this is a process of cultural change"(2) In our view these two statements are too similar to be a coincidence. It appears Helen Beattie is following to the letter the directives of Gareth Morgan's antifelinist hate group.

NZ Taxpayers Union suggested citizens who signed their petition - 'No to compulsory registration of Cats' contact Local Government NZ and share their opinion. Calls to LGNZ were forwarded to their principal policy adviser, Mike Reid who is of course also member of National Cat Management Strategy Group. This suggests to us it is NCMSG who is really the body behind the remit document advocating 'Cat control'. It appears to us Dunedin Mayor Dave Cull is essentially the Judas who has selfishly placed the lives of countless Cats in danger by being the patsy who was engaged to submit the remit before LGNZ for vote. It seems the reward he received for his services to antifelinism is his promotion to the LGNZ presidency.

26 July 2017 - Audio: Guyon Espiner interviews a very evasive Dave Cull on Cats

Guyon Espiner asks "Is this a Cat cull?". Dave Cull laughs at Guyon then states Cats are a risk to native wildlife and that councils are seeking some 'tools' to 'control' Cats in order to protect native wildlife. Cull correctly states councils do not have sufficient powers to protect native wildlife and councils only have powers to regulate Cats when there is risk to human health.

Guyon cites an article in Otago Daily Times which reports on WCC's position on compulsory microchipping, Cull becomes evasive at this point, probably because he knows the WCC animal bylaw is illegal and would not survive a judicial review. Cull stutters and states he is not clear on WCC's position. Guyon asks how does a 'Cat curfew' work?. Cull responds "You keep it inside at night". Guyon responds "or what?". Cull becomes more evasive and claims he does not understand the question.

Cull then states "One of the reasons for microchipping Cats is that if you are seeking to trap 'feral Cats' and you trap a Cat that is actually a domesticated pet then you can tell it's domesticated and you don't destroy it. So in the case of curfews you might actually be keeping the Cats inside for their own protection because in areas where you want to protect native wildlife you may be trapping 'feral' Cats". Cull also states: "A good deal of the risk (to native wildlife) is Cats" and "If a Cat is caught in a cage it is not killed, you capture it then you determine if it's microchipped, whether it's domesticated or not, or if it's 'feral'". So there you have it, what Local Government NZ really seeks is compulsory microchipping and the expungement of the 'stray' designation from the Animal Welfare Act. Then if a Cat does not immediately return an ID on a scanner it will be classified as 'feral' and executed simply for being a Cat.

26 July 2017 - Councils Seek More Powers To Control Cats

This next one quotes LGNZ president Dave Cull at length, he claims "Dunedin has had instances of people feeding 'feral' Cats, resulting in up to 50 or 60 cats in some areas". Once again we see the antifelinist faction designating Cats defined as stray under the Animal Welfare Act as 'feral'. In this case as people are apparently feeding the Cats Cull refers to, the true situation would classify as a managed colony. Certainly the law is clear that if non domestic Cats are being served by humans, then those Cats are classified as stray under law. Either Cull is simply ignorant of the law, or he lies through his teeth.

Cull is quoted as stating "We need some tools, and that's what we're asking for". What sort of tools would you like antifelinist? Some some 'blunt objects' perhaps? Some 'firearms' perchance? How about a few 'captive bolt guns' and a big knife to slit their throats to ensure they are dispatched in the name of 'conservation'. The article ends by promoting the misguided opinion of the Morgan cult. Clearly Newshub is just as complicit with Morgan's cult as Fairfax and NZ Herald.

We conducted some research in the interest of discovering if any of the other persons associated with actively promoting the prospect of 'Cat control' measures via the remit document voted on at the LGNZ AGM might have recently been rewarded with promotion for their services to antifelinism. Strangely enough, Helen Beattie also received a promotion a couple of weeks prior to Dave Cull becoming President of LGNZ. She's been appointed Chief Veterinary Officer of NZVA.

Coincidence? It's possible, we'll leave it to our supporters to decide for themselves.

07 July 2017 - NZVA Press Release: New Zealand Veterinary Association Appoints Chief Veterinary Officer

This report in NZ Herald dated 17 July provides more in depth coverage on Helen Beattie and her new assignment.

17 July 2017 - Dunedin Vet's New Challenge Not What She Expected

The report states Helen Beattie already has experience in mass extermination while she was working in United Kingdom dealing with an outbreak of foot and mouth disease, which is described as an "incredible experience...despite all its heinousness". We assume she has no qualms about being party to the proposed mass extermination of New Zealand's Cats.

25 July 2017 - NZVA Support For 'Cat Management' Legislation

This press release from NZ Veterinary Association states "NZVA encourages and supports the development of national legislation that would promote responsible Cat 'ownership' and improve the lives and welfare of all Cats". Well, they would, we calculate an estimated $120 million dollars profit to be made from microchipping the nation's Cats coupled with a further $9 Million per annum to microchip new Cats according to calculations provided by NZ Taxpayers Union. It's clear to us cold hard profit is the real motive. NZVA cite every alleged issue in the book to support their position because they are motivated by profit. Interestingly enough, there is only one economist involved with NCMSG, Geoff Simmons of the Morgan cult, our guess is he is the one who baited the rest of them with the prospect of profit beyond their wildest dreams.

It is said money is the root of all evil, and this is a fact that certainly applies here with the ongoing insidious push for 'Cat control'. Once we fathom in the profit to be made from compulsory microchipping, not to mention the profit to be made from the mass extermination of all unregistered Cats by allegedly 'humane' methods, we have no doubt about their true motivation.

Far North District Council - Acting Outside Of The Law

04 Aug 2017 - FNDC Support Lobbying Government For Cat Controls

Far North District Council - Left: John Carter - Mayor, Right: Tania McInnes - Deputy Mayor

We investigated the Far North District Council bylaw mentioned in this article, which states "It also prohibits people from having Cats or Kittens if the council decides the Felines are or are likely to become a nuisance or dangerous to people and wildlife". This comes under Chapter 13 of FNDC General Bylaws. The document states the bylaw is pursuant to the powers in the Local Government Act 2002 and the Health Act 1956. The document may be downloaded from the FNDC website here:

FNDC General Bylaws - Chapter 13 - Keeping Of Animals Poultry & Bees 2007 (PDF - 51kb)

Section 1306.2 of the bylaw, under the heading "Cats as a nuisance" states: No person shall keep Cats or Kittens if in the opinion of the council the keeping of such Cats or Kittens is, or is likely to become, a nuisance or annoyance to any person or potentially dangerous or injurious to health, or a danger to wildlife. The said bylaw is anything but specific and as such is open to misinterpretation if not open to outright abuse.

It appears to us FNDC is very likely to be acting outside of it's legal powers by including "or a danger to wildlife" in this bylaw. Our understanding is the protection of wildlife is not covered in either the Local Government Act 2002 or the Health Act 1956 and we would expect the section which includes 'protection of wildlife' is ultra vires (illegal). We do wonder how many other councils also have created similar illegal bylaws.

FNDC Deputy Mayor Appointed To The Northland Conservation Board

As deputy mayor Tania McInnes represented FNDC at the 2017 LGNZ AGM supporting the DCC antifelinist remit document, we decided we would investigate her further. We were surprised to discover that in July 2017 she was appointed as a member of the Northland Conservation Board. How interesting, yet another individual who supported the DCC antifelinist remit document coincidentally appointed to a position of power in July 2017. To review: Dunedin mayor Dave Cull became President of LGNZ, Helen Beattie became Chief Veterinary Officer of NZVA and FNDC deputy mayor Tania McInnes was appointed to the Northland Conservation Board. So many synchronicities associated with the DCC antifelinist remit paper, it may as well be a magickal talisman. As we said earlier in this article, we'll leave it to our supporters to decide for themselves.

FNDC Draconian Dog Control Proposal Angers Dog Lovers

12 August 2017 - Bay Of Islands Dog Owners Voice Anger At Bylaw Changes
Bay Of Islands WatchCogs
Canines and their guardians protest the FNDC proposed bylaw at Opua Beach

On 12 August 2017 a report in the Northern Advocate covered FNDC's intention to place further restrictions on dogs. The proposed new animal policy which intends to place a limit of one dog per household, using the Resource Management Act to ban the keeping of all companion animals in new homes and other draconian restrictions created an outrage amongst Northland dog owners. The proposed restrictions are undoubtedly designed to 'protect wildlife'. FNDC are on very shaky ground from a legal perspective citing protecting wildlife when it comes to placing restrictions on companion animals.

15 August 2017 - Far North Dog 'Owners' Win Some Concessions

One of our supporters in Northland stated in an email message: "All dogs and their owners on the Russell peninsular will in future have to use the car ferry ($6.50 each way) to get to the other side to walk on beaches there. Russell beaches shall become dog free". It is abundantly clear FNDC have been fully compromised by the influence of the environmental extremist movement. It is only a matter of time before other councils attempt to follow suit. Without doubt the environmentalists who have infiltrated local government have the ultimate aim of the total elimination of all companion animals in New Zealand.

26 Sept 2017 - Council To Rewrite Controversial Dog Bylaw

The guardians of Northland's canines were quite rightly outraged FNDC's bylaw proposal and formed the BOI WatchDogs group which took FNDC to task over their proposed anti-canine legislation. On 26th September this report appeared which states mayor John Carter has agreed to have the entire bylaw proposal rewritten. As it appears FNDC is in the habit of fabricating illegal bylaws, Feline Rights will be monitoring what FNDC come up with in their rewritten proposal.

Left: Cr Greg Martin - To Whangarei Cat lovers, We support you
Right: Cr Crichton Christie - 'Cat control' would be a nightmare to deal with

Some elected representatives at Whangarei District Council appear to be considerably smarter others. WDC councillors questioned the practicality of 'Cat control' legislation and quite rightly determined such legislation would be a management nightmare. Councillor Greg Martin was quoted as stating: "Cats are absolutely critical to a lot of people in our district. Let's send a message to Cat lovers in our district of 'We support you'". Councillor Crichton Christie stated 'Cat control' would be a "nightmare for councils to deal with" and "have you ever tried to catch a Cat?".

The antifelinist faction at Whanagrei District Council - Left to Right:
Cr Anna Murphy - She's certain Cats are a 'threat to wildlife'
Cr Stuart Bell - He claims microchipping protects 'pets'.
Cr Tricia Cutforth - She approves of 'Cat control' in principle.

Once more we note Fairfax Media promoting the 'companion' vs 'feral' line ad nauseum and conveniently omitting the 'stray' designation as defined under law. As this next article demonstrates, Whanagrei District Council has also been infiltrated by deluded environmentalists who have not taken time to consider the huge can of worms they open. Councillor Anna Murphy, who claims to love Cats (ha!) was adamant Cats are a 'threat to wildlife'. Councillor Stuart Bell claimed microchipping would protect 'pets'. Not 'pets' Stuart, family members. You may as well be coming after our children. Protect our family members from what? Environmentalist execution squads? Councillor Crichton Christie stated: "If we went out shooting them all hell would let loose". You got it Crichton, it's called social unrest and it's intensely fermenting below the surface as we write.

Councils To Vote On 'Cat Control' At Local Government NZ AGM

John Cleese & Michael Palin - Fish License Sketch
Cleese: The man from the Cat detector van. Palin: The loony detector van, you mean.
Cleese: I never seen so many aerials. The man said their equipment could pinpoint
a purr at four hundred yards, and Eric being such a happy Cat was a piece of cake.

As Bizarre As A Monty Python Sketch, But No Laughing Matter

Back around 50 years ago, those masters of bizarre English comedy, Monty Python's Flying Circus, had some fun with the idea of a Cat licence. The Python team selected situations that were so surreal and preposterous they could not fail to get the audience falling off their chairs with laughter. 50 years later in New Zealand, due to an array of individuals in positions of power who would do well to have their own heads examined, the idea of a Cat license is no laughing matter.

The remit to LGNZ requests "That Local Government New Zealand lobby the Government to take legislative action as a matter of urgency to develop national legislation to manage Cats with the proviso that legislation includes provision for cost recovery for Cat management." The remit paper cites both the Dunedin Residents’ Opinion Survey 2014 and the Dog Control Survey as having received unprompted comments regarding alleged problems with Cats.

Dunedin City Council Remit For The LGNZ AGM (PDF - 24.5kb)

We took a look at the Dunedin Residents’ Opinion Survey 2014, and it did not have a whole lot to say about Cats other than in the section on 'unprompted responses' where it states "Cats should be registered/Cat faeces everywhere". We also noted the 2014 survey included complaints from the public about dog excrement. Given that dogs are subject to registration and the last time we went out for a walk it appears there is still an issue with dog excrement, it does not take a PhD in scatology to conclude that registration of companion animals is not a solution to our four pawed friends answering the call of nature.

We downloaded and read the Dog Control Survey Report from Dunedin City Council and there is no mention of Cats at all. As Dunedin City Council is citing these alleged submissions from the public, we'd like to see these submissions so we can check how many of them amount to collective lobbying from the Morgan Foundation and other environmental extremist groups. Done right, the remit document would include the submissions made to DCC as an appendix. As these submissions are not appended, our opinion is the alleged issues with Cats amount to nothing more than hearsay.

We have documented Morgan Foundation GM and rabid antifelinist Geoff Simmons' activities in Otago. He has been indoctrinating people into the lies of antifelinism in the form of a lecture entitled "Predator Free Safe Havens" at Hutton Theater, Otago University in Dunedin on 22nd April 2016 and in this article in the Otago daily times on 24 May 2016. We do know that one of Morgan's Halo groups is operating in the Dunedin area, that group goes by the name of Beyond Orokonui .

Halo = Morgan Cult = Cat haters. We have no doubt the antifelinists of the Morgan cult have a hand in this matter.

The media has been having a field day with this issue, let's take a look at some of the recent articles

'Nanny State' or Outright Fascism?

27 June 2017 - Cat Control & Fizzy Drink Plans Steps Toward Nanny State

Councillor Peter Burt of Timaru District Council stated in this article such rules were a bit "nanny state". We feel 'nanny state' does not cover what is happening. Our view is the proposed 'Cat control' measures and some of the other recent actions of local government are more akin to the micromanagement that comes with fascism. On the proposed 'Cat control' measures, Councillor Kerry Stevens stated "It's trying to solve a problem that doesn't really exist". Fraser Ross of Forest and Bird engaged dogma regurgitation mode and stated Cats "certainly should be kept indoors at night". Oh really? and exactly what might Cats be catching at night? Compare this statement with the following statements from Landcare Research wildlife ecologist John Innes "In New Zealand, Cats are most helpful at night"(1) and "the one thing that is known is that they do their good stuff at night, if you’re going to keep your Cats in at night you’re stopping them doing anything good at all" (2) Read on, because we have another quote or two from others that effectively refute the assumption that keeping Cats indoors at night is supposedly a good idea.

28 June 2017 -Timaru Vets Support Cat Bylaw Proposals
Dries Meyer Callum Irvine Bryan Gregor
Left to Right: Dries Meyer - Vetlife Timaru, Callum Irvine - NZVA, Bryan Gregor - Aorangi Vet Services

Well, the vets would support the proposals with an estimated $120 million dollars to be made from microchipping every domestic Cat in New Zealand. We suspect the antifelinst Geoff Simmons' friend, NZVA Head of Veterinary Services Callum Irvine, has been busy indoctrinating veterinarians on behalf of the Morgan cult. Like the antisemite Julius Streicher citing disease as being one of the alleged problems with Jewish people to justify the holocaust, Dr Dries Meyer of Vetlife Timaru cites the threat of disease as a reason for keeping Cats in at night. Sure, Cats can get into fights and catch diseases in the process, but in truth this can happen at any time of the day or night. Dr Meyer states "Mandatory de-sexing is a good thing". Dr Bryan Gregor of Aorangi Veterinary Services expressed support for 'Cat curfews', mandatory de-sexing and collars for identification, but he also stated "You can run into issues with identity collars on Cats, like Cats strangling themselves"

In truth, the idea of mandatory desexing is nothing more than a pipe dream, simply because it is unenforceable. We here at Feline Rights support de-sexing 100%, however the only way to go about it is by engaging the public via education, because there is no way for the authorities to check if every Cat in the community is de-sexed. Feline Rights strongly disapproves of Cat collars, because Cats can be injured. Here is an example of injuries sustained by a Cat who was forced to wear a collar.

Center: Dunedin Mayor Dave Cull, Right: Dunedin Councillor Kate Wilson

For your information 'Landscape Connections Trust' is none other than the Beyond Orokonui group mentioned earlier. This is a new twist to the way these turkeys are conducting their spin. Using two different names for the same group, so to anyone who is too lazy to conduct research for themselves it appears there are two groups of enviro-nazis speaking out when in this case there is actually only one. The article states they are running a 'Halo Project' and as we have stated Halo = the antifelinist Morgan cult. The article implies they are already using cage traps to trap Cats, Their spokeswoman Jinty MacTavish who is an ex DCC councillor herself, cites the position of Wellington on compulsory microchipping. She demonstrates her ignorance by doing so. The evidence we have proves Wellington City Council has acted outside of the law, and she insults our intelligence by spouting the tired old lie of 'safety to Cats'. Pure Morgan cult doctrine if ever we saw it.

Ruru Karearea Kahu Barn Owl
New Zealand Raptors - Left to Right: Ruru, Karearea, Kahu, Barn Owl. Guess what these guys
will be dining on once the misguided environmentalists have executed of all of the 'pests'.

Councillor Kate Wilson of DCC is quoted as stating "'If you get rid of the stoats and rats and weasels, what are the Cats going to live on if you don't manage them". Alright, what are native raptors going to prey on if rodents and mustelids are eradicated as part of the predator free pogrom? We'll tell you, other manu taonga (native birds). The bottom line is if ignorant people barrel on in and eradicate entire species to satisfy their blood lust, the entire ecological balance will be upset. Socialist collectivist pogroms like this one have been tried before and they have failed. In Peoples Republic of China in the era known as 'the great leap forward' (1958 to 1962) China engaged in what is known as the 'Four Pests Campaign' . Like the four pests campaign in China, the predator free NZ campaign stands to upset the ecological balance. It is destined to fail.

"The legislation may give the council the power
to destroy Cats that were not chipped"

29 June 2017 - Dunedin Council Proposes Registration Of Cats In New Zealand

This report in the NZ Herald has much of the same information as the previous report in the Otago Daily Times. Councillor Kate Wilson is quoted as stating "At the moment it is the only animal that is not legislated for, and it's peculiar". Yeah? how about 'pet' rabbits, 'pet' rats and 'pet' birds, we bet you antifelinists don't have legislation for them...yet. She also states people who were concerned about the proposal "should be weighing up the concerns they have if you don't have it". Help us out here, does anyone have any idea what she means, because we don't. Also included in the article is the chilling statement "The legislation may give the council the power to destroy Cats that were not chipped". This is something we have been warning against from day one. Stand up to these haters now before they kill every Cat they can find.

10 July 2017 - Press Release: New Zealand Taxpayers' Union - Dave Culls Cat Platform Nuts

Jordan Williams, the Union’s spokesperson stated "This is the ultimate in the local government trying to find expensive solutions to a problem that doesn’t exist." NZ Taxpayers Union have set up a petition against this affront to morals, ethics and common sense, If you love Cats and common sense, be sure to sign it.

NZ Taxpayers Union Jordan Williams NZ Taxpayers Union
Jordan Williams - Executive Director NZ Taxpayers Union

Jordan Williams and Jock Anderson along with consultant ecologist Mark Bellingham were interviewed on Radio Newstalk ZB on 9th July 2017. Following some number crunching NZ Taxpayers Union estimates a cost of $9 million per annum to implement the proposed 'Cat control' measures. As ecologist Mark Bellingham has a been a senior staff member at Forest and Bird, we were expecting the usual antifelinist spin, but to our surprise what he had to share was quite rational, and we agree with some of his statements. NZ Herald published some of what Mark Bellingham had to say on 10 July 2017 here.

10 July 2017 - Cat Control - Are Councils Too Wimpy To Do It Themselves?

We quote Mark Bellingham - On the idea of Cat collars: "I haven't seen any good evidence to show collars really make a difference". "They could get caught and then you have an issue of cruelty to a Cat". On the idea of night curfews: "The idea of a Cat curfew which would result in owners locking their Cats inside at night was another unsupported solution" and "the size of the evidence is actually not very good on that, because it seems that at night Cats are actually really good at getting rid of rats and mice. That's the bulk of what they take". This matches with our own observations when it comes to what Cats catch at night. Much gratitude to Mark Bellingham for the honest appraisal.

Councillor's Comments Result In Social Media Furor

10 July 2017 - Cat Control: Many Kiwi Councils Ready To Lobby For National Rules
Dave Macpherson Mark Bunting Siggi Henry
Hamilton City Councillors - Left to Right: Dave Macpherson, Mark Bunting, Siggi Henry

Fairfax Media published another article on 10 July 2016. Hamilton City Council voted to support the proposed 'Cat control' measures. Councillor Mark Bunting created a furor on social media with his comment "As our aging population grows, so does the number of old ladies with Cats, so (Cat management) is something that we're going to have to deal with". Accusations of both sexism and ageism were directed at Councillor Bunting, and we understand at least one formal complaint was sent to Hamilton City Council. Councillor Bunting has since tendered an apology on Facebook for his comment.

Councillor Dave Macpherson is quoted as stating: Cat control could be "bigger than Ben Fur". To Councillor Macpherson we say: This is not a laughing matter, some people who keep Cats are lividly angry at what it is you people plan, others are living in fear that their beloved Feline family members face the prospect of mass executions.

Councillor Siggi Henry said "Paying for Cat 'ownership' might encourage people to treat their animals better". About as moronic as her statement on 30 June 2017 during the debate on banning drinks with sugar in them from council workplaces when she stated "You have a fat person falling on you, I think that would affect you". Antifelinism, ageism, sexism, sizeism, either discrimination actually abounds at Hamilton City Council, or it's simply a matter of collective serial incompetence.

Councillor Leo Tooman asked where council would draw the line, he stated "Next thing, we're going to have the kids who have to register their pet rabbit or their pet mice or their canary." Right you are Councillor Tooman, if this madness is not stopped now, perhaps the next stage is sending the homeless and the beggars to the concentration camps?

We emailed all elected representatives at Hamilton City Council including the mayor expressing our displeasure they had decided to support the remit. We reminded the council elected representatives have an obligation to conduct themselves as a good example to constituents, shared our understanding of the ongoing campaign being run by antifelinists of the environmental movement, and encouraged Hamilton City Council to up their game.

11 July 2017 - Councils To Vote On National Rules To Control Cats
Lawrence Yule Dave Cull
Left: LGNZ President Lawrence Yule Right: Dave Cull Mayor of Dunedin
Lawrence Yule has stepped down as mayor of Hastings, as he's a candidate
in the general election for the National Party in the Tukituki electorate.
Our understanding is Dave Cull now seeks the LGNZ Presidency.

Lawrence Yule, the president of LGNZ was interviewed by Newshub. That surprised us as Mr Yule was quite evasive of the media when journalist Elton Rikihana Smallman wrote the first article on the National Cat Management Strategy Group based around leaked documents back in February 2016. Lawrence Yule cited the report of 31 May 2017 by Dr Jan Wright, Parliamentary Commissioner for the Environment, who erroneously assumes Cats pose a "real risk to bird life, particularly in urban environments". Yule claims the proposed measures are aimed only at 'feral' and homeless Cats. Do not insult our intelligence Mr Yule, compulsory microchipping, registration, curfews, and Cat rangers, these are all measures aimed at domestic Cats. Take it from us folks, the antifelinists are filled with hate, they want to kill all Cats, including your loved ones.

Propaganda Messages From Wellington City Council & SPCA

09 March 2017 - Wellington To Investigate More Rules For Keeping Cats And Other Animals In Check
Absolutely Eco-Fascist WCC
In the interest of reflecting the council's recent nefarious activities, we took the liberty of
conducting a satirical 'brand refresh' of the WCC logo. It took us less than five minutes
and unlike the real 'brand refresh' in 2014 which cost $39,000, this one did not cost a cent.

The relentless pursuit of antifelinism continues to be one of the top agendas of Wellington City Council. Quote: "The council is about to start looking at new ideas to reduce the conflict between Cats and wildlife as part of a new animal policy".

Quite frankly, it beggars belief the council continues to cite the alleged threat of Cats to native wildlife. Wildlife which has only recently been reintroduced to the region by the environmental movement. Legal opinion has been provided to the council some nine months ago which points out the council has no legal authority for mandating the compulsory microchipping of Cats, and no legal authority to pass bylaws for the supposed protection of native wildlife.

The executive summary of legal opinion from lawyer Mai Chen was delivered to councillors of the previous triennium in August 2016. It states: "The protection of wildlife is irrelevant under the councils bylaw making powers under the Local Government Act and the Health Act". "If the council proceeds to implement the proposed bylaw for this improper purpose, the bylaw will be ultra vires" (beyond their legal power or authority).

More info on the legal opinion may be read in the press release dated 1st August 2016 .

26 April 2017 - 'No Excuse' Not To Microchip Cats With Free Sessions Planned Ahead Of Bylaw Change

If it's worth doing, it's worth forcing people to do it. So put on your jackboots, armbands and faux toothbrush moustaches, and let's all get down and do the goosestep in celebration of environmental fascism wrapped in the lie of 'animal welfare'.

This article promoting the compulsory microchipping of Cats by Fairfax journalist Ruby Macandrew was published in the propaganda tabloid 'The Wellingtonian' on 27 April 2017. The online version differs slightly from the print version which included the following quote from Wellington SPCA animal care manager Nick Taylor in red letters. We use the old red letter trick too, the idea is to draw the reader's attention to ensure they take notice of specific text, as we have done with the example above. However, the text omitted from the online version of the article goes one step further and contains a message intended to subliminally slip across the threshold into the subconscious minds of readers who are challenged to be attentive.

That message is: "Ignore the fact that it's going to be compulsory"

Nick Taylor Quote From The Wellingtonian Print Edition Ruby Macandrew
Left - Nick Taylor - Wellington SPCA, Right - Ruby Macandrew - Journalist and Presstitute

They anticipate your excuses, just ignore the facts and do as you are told

The article begins with: "Getting a jump on anticipated excuses for not microchipping Cats in the capital is the motivation behind a new Wellington City Council and SPCA collaboration". Repetition is one of the tried and tested methods of programing and indoctrination, so we were not at all surprised to note no less than four instances of the words 'excuse' and 'excuses' embodied within this article. They have done this with the intention of writing off any form of reasonable dissent as excuses, thus justifying their evil intentions and programing the not so smart amongst citizens into thinking in those terms.

In truth there is zero excuse for what these despicable individuals attempt to do

Councillor Iona Pannett Lies
Councillor Iona Pannett, chair of WCC Environment Committee 2013-2016 Triennium
To stakeholders of the pro-Cat lobby: "I'm a big animal lover and want to see animals
treated humanely and with the respect they deserve". To the media: "Essentially having
the identification means we won't be trapping, and potentially putting a Cat down
if it is caught, our staff will know that it is a Cat 'owned' by someone"

The article states the compulsory microchipping bylaw was passed following an 'intensive consultation process'. Our view is the consultation was a complete whitewash, like many of the 'consultations' under Celia Wade-Brown's two terms as mayor.

Mayor Wade-Brown's Lizard Tattoo Mayor Wade-Brown In Regalia Reptilian Patch
Celia Wade-Brown, Mayor of Wellington between 2010 and 2016. That's her lizard tattoo on the left.
Regarding the image on the right, if you understand the esoteric implications of this, good.

We of the the pro-Cat lobby feel we were was not taken seriously. In all likelihood, in the council's eyes it was already a done deal before the matter of 'Cat-control' legislation was announced. While compulsory microchipping is the present issue, we will never forget the other 'Cat control' options proposed: A limitation of the number of Cats one may keep, a ban on keeping Cats in supposed 'wildlife sensitive areas', night curfews on Cats and compulsory identification tattoos for Cats.

Councillor Pannett was quoted in an article dated 17 March 2016 on the matter of compulsory identification tattoos for Cats as stating: "It seems extraordinary, but it would certainly get around the problem of not being able to identify your Cat."(2) Those with a knowledge of history are well aware of the other fascist regime who used night curfews and identification tattoos to intimidate and disparage those who were deemed problematical and ultimately designated as disposable.

When we approached WCC graduate adviser Jessica Clarke in April 2016, we asked the council this series of questions , our queries were forwarded to Councillor Pannett who replied to us with a single paragraph claiming "I'm a big animal lover and want to see animals treated humanely and with the respect they deserve". However, in an article published a month earlier at the Radio NZ website, Councillor Pannett is quoted as stating: "Essentially having the identification means we won't be trapping, and potentially putting a Cat down if it is caught, our staff will know that it is a Cat 'owned' by someone". (1)

The latter statement from the acting chair of the Environment Committee herself is proof enough that 'animal welfare' is not what this is about and without a doubt the mass execution of all Cats without a microchip ID is the council's intention.

We told Councillor Pannet not to insult our intelligence. Our queries were then forwarded to Kaine Thompson, leader of the office of the WCC CEO, who responded with a hastily prepared piece of spin covering why the council was planning legislation to give them the power to engage in the proposed draconian 'Cat-control' measures. This 'explanation' was published on the WCC website, but has now been removed. We've asked the council to put it back up on their site, but as they haven't, we will now share the draft provided by Kaine Thompson in April 2016.

Feline Rights published a response to the council's 'Faqs on Cats' document here:

Cronyism, Conspiracy and Conflict of Interest

The article in The Wellingtonian claims 89% of submissions supported compulsory microchipping. This of course includes a stack of collective lobbying from the Morgan cult, all sent from the same email address, shannon(at)morganfoundation.org.nz. The total number of submissions was 491. 174 of these submissions were from the antifelinists at the Morgan Foundation.

It appears the council granted permission for Gareth Morgan's hate group to have their own 'template' as part of the public consultation process, whatever that is supposed to mean. This seems strange, given there was a secret consultation between the council and key stakeholders prior to the public consultation taking place. To our knowledge, the contents of this secret consultation have never been disclosed to the public. We would expect the Morgan cult was included in the aforementioned secret consultation with key stakeholders, so it appears to us in addition to the council accepting 174 submissions all from the same email address at the Morgan Foundation, the Morgan cult was granted the opportunity to have their say twice.

The following extracts are from the WCC Environment Committee Agenda dated 4 Aug 2016

All the council did is submit to the Morgan cult. As we have already documented, certain council hired staff involved with the 'urban ecology' division of the council are intimately involved with environmental extremism and the Morgan cult itself. This is clearly a conflict of interest and in our view each of these council hired staff involved with environmental extremism and Gareth Morgan's hate group should not have their contracts renewed.

While on the subject of conflict of interest, Wellington mayor Justin Lester is a member of the Wellington SPCA board. (3) This guy is a native bird maniac closely connected with Gareth Morgan's Halo Project. (4) Mayor Lester wants to turn all of Wellington into an environmental theme park at any cost. Because of this, we feel his membership on the SPCA Board amounts to a conflict of interest and we call for the immediate resignation of Justin Lester from the Wellington SPCA board.

This is also about profit for NZ Companion Animal Council and profit for the vets. Our estimate is if all companion Cats in New Zealand were microchipped, the total profit for all involved parties amounts to the tidy sum of $120 Million Dollars.

As we have pointed out countless times, this is not about keeping track of lost companion animals or any other aspect of 'animal welfare'. What it is about is the mass execution of all Cats who do not return an ID when scanned with a microchip scanner. It appears capture and execution will be subcontracted out to private environmental groups including individuals involved with the accursed Morgan cult. Do you really think the antifelinists of the environmental extremist movement are going to check for a microchip ID? We say they will not even bother, they will simply murder every Cat they can catch.

Quote: "This is the council being proactive and working with SPCA so that it's not just the burden on Cat 'owners'."

By planning your program of mass exterminations, we who serve Cats will now be forever looking over our shoulders, looking with suspicion at other members of the community and wondering to ourselves if the next person over is one of the Cat-haters. Essentially you people have forever robbed us of our right to live our lives in peace within the community and we will now be looking over our shoulders forever. So pardon us, but we'd call that a burden of astronomical proportions. To Nick Taylor we say, Cats do not have 'owners' Cats have servants. The Cats are sacred animals, they are vessels of sacred energy. Cats are individuals and individuality is a sure sign of ensoulment. If you do not understand this, whatever other qualifications you may have, you are not qualified to serve the Cats.

3 May 2017 - Free Microchipping For Cats In May

A second article in the form of a press release from the WCC office of propaganda was published at Wellington Scoop on 3 May 2017. Quote: "Microchipping is a safe, simple and permanent method of identification, and one of the most effective ways to keep your Cat safe". Our view is microchipping is not safe, any form of foreign body is a potential health risk.

Safe from what? The enviro-nazis who wish to exterminate our Cats?

Quote: "Microchipping is a no brainer". The truth of the matter is one would need to be brainless to buy into the idea. Quote: "Pets are part of the family, so we want to keep them safe, and unlike collars, which can slip off, microchips are permanent". First, microchips are not permanent, microchips can and do fail. Second, our Cats were safe enough prior to the city embracing the accursed 'native biodiversity' delusion and engaging in the creation of artificially created wildlife habitats such as Zealandia Sanctuary, Polhill Reserve, Otari Wilton Bush, Miramar Reserve, and other supposed 'wildlife sensitive zones'.

The environmentalists have reintroduced some native birdlife to urban and residential areas and run an ongoing incessant campaign in the mainstream media promoting the lies of antifelinism with the ultimate aim of eradicating all Cats from New Zealand. These 'wildlife zones' have been forcibly imposed on us in the past few years by the environmental extremist minority. Third, while we would classify the term 'pets' as being a derogatory term similar to the 'N' word, right you are, they are family members. The council, the council staff, the Morgan cult and other environmentalist nutcases are now a clear and present threat to us and our families. In our view that puts all involved with the matter in a similar category to pedophiles.

As always, one can expect some intelligent comments from the readers of Scoop, and the comments to this article make some very good points. Cackle McFee stated: "Next they’ll recommend legislation for micro-chipping the kids or employees".

For the record, they are already microchipping humans in Sweden.

The Dystopian Prospect Of Microchipping Humans

2 April 2017 - Cyborgs At Work: Employees Getting Implanted With Microchips
Human Microchip Microchip Impanting Needle
Left - Human microchip, Right - Microchip implanting needle

We believe the compulsory microchipping of Cats is a test phase to see how citizens respond to the idea of compulsory microchipping in general and the ultimate intent is to microchip all humans. When it comes to legislation to allow them to engage in the compulsory microchipping of humans, they will most likely begin with convicted criminals. A microchip is cheaper and more convenient than one of the anklets presently used for home detention sentences, and providing the chip does not fail, once it's implanted it's there for life. Thus the microchip is very handy tool for monitoring recidivist offenders.

Committed psychiatric patients will be next. Corrections and psychiatric staff will have no qualms about forcibly microchipping those in their care. Citizens will likely support the idea of microchipping convicted criminals and those diagnosed as suffering from mental illness, after all in the former case it's for the protection of society and citizens, and in the latter case it's also for the protection of the patients, right?

Microchip Being Implanted In Human.jpg X-Ray Of Microchipped Human Hand.jpg
Left - Microchip being implanted in human, Right - X-Ray of microchipped human hand

Chances are they will also attempt to force beneficiaries and pensioners to be implanted with a microchip in order to receive benefit payments and conduct day to day financial transactions. Like the present day WINZ payment cards, the microchipping of beneficiaries would be a useful tool to ensure beneficiaries can only buy approved goods and services. Making beneficiaries' financial transactions fully cashless would certainly put a stop to those who blow their benefits on cigarettes, liquor, gambling and illegal drugs. The only downside of a fully cashless benefit system would be a large increase in begging for cash. However this would only be a temporary issue as the ultimate intention of microchipping is to do away with all cash.

The Draconian Plan For Obligatory Cashless Society

If we allow them to get away with the compulsory microchipping of Cats, the compulsory microchipping of all humans is next. The globalist corporate dictatorship wish to eliminate cash and conduct all financial transactions electronically.

Before you red card us as 'conspiracy theorists', you may like to read this:

International Monetary Fund Working Paper - The Macroeconomics Of De-Cashing (PDF 738kb)
Banned Cash
They will microchip you and ban all cash unless you resist

Presently, microchips can be programed to communicate with other networked devices via the technology known as near field communication .This is the same technology that allows one to make a payment via one's smartphone, paywave enabled bankcards and electronic ticket smartcards. The infrastructure for a cashless society is here now. All that is required is for people to thoughtlessly comply with the upcoming directive to get themselves chipped. As the technology is developed further the authorities will likely be able to track your every move via the chip. Total control is their intention.

In the interest of privacy and freedom it is your moral obligation to resist

Joakim Liman - Te Motu Kairangi

Miramar Ecological Restoration Group

Te Motu Kairangi - Miramar Ecological Restoration Group
Joakim Liman 1
Joakim Liman, the epitomy of Nordic-Aryan manhood. He imported himself to New Zealand
from Sweden in 2009. He has 'conservation' experience with Department of Conservation &
Zealandia Sanctuary. He is presently employed by Wellington Zoo. He's chosen to engage
himself in the antifelinist movement and has no idea of the huge can of worms he's opened.

Last time we checked in January 2017, the membership of Liman's 'conservation' group was a total of 20 individuals. Compare this figure to the population of Miramar: 9,588 at the 2013 census. Te Motu Kairangi are a miniscule fraction of a percent of the population, they are a small group of extremists imposing their will on an entire district.

This feature article of antifelinist propaganda by journalist Sam Duff appeared in the Cook Strait News on 2nd February 2015, just four months after the inception of the National Cat Management Strategy Group. The Cook Strait News along with The Wellingtonian are 'community newspapers' delivered free to every mailbox in the Wellington region. One can have a 'no circulars' sign on one's letterbox, yet regardless of one's wishes, a copy will be delivered each week without fail. In truth, it's a propaganda tabloid created by the ruling caste, distributed with the intention of manufacturing consensus amongst those members of the public who are challenged to define objective reality for themselves.

In other words, they make sure everyone gets a copy so their propaganda is spread for social engineering purposes.

The publication of this article was carefully timed to synchronise with Morgan Foundation project manager Jessi Morgan's submission to Wellington City Council's consultation on the 'Draft Biodiversity Strategy and Action Plan 2014'. The article was published in Cook Strait News on Monday 2nd February 2015, and the consultation process closed on Friday 6th March 2015. We've sourced a copy of Morgan's submission, In it, she cites the alleged killing of 18 tui, supposedly by a Cat.

Normally we'll link to articles, but due to Cook Strait News hosting it's back issues on issuu.com, one of the most poorly coded and unusable websites we have ever visited, we've scanned and posted the entire article here. Cook Strait News Article Part 1

The article by journalist Sam Duff begins by subjecting us to loaded language .

Sam Duff
Sam Duff - Journalist and Presstitute

Wikipedia defines loaded language as "wording that attempts to influence an audience by using appeal to emotion or stereotypes". We quote: "The movements of a sneaky 'moggy' with a taste for killing are being tracked as it slinks, creeps and skulks it's way through the Miramar bush"... an object lesson in loaded language. Liman claims his environmental extremist group found the remains of 18 dead tui and as there were some Cat paw prints they assume a single Cat killed them all. That's interesting, lets compare the opinion of Joakim Liman with the opinion of Landcare Research wildlife ecologist John Innes who stated in this article "I've worked with tui restoration in Hamilton for a decade, and I've never had an account of a tui, one of our radio-banded birds, being killed by a Cat".

We agree with John Innes, we've kept Cats for 50 years and we have never witnessed a Cat capture a tui. They are larger than a blackbird and as tree dwellers, it's rare to see a tui at ground level. We have noted tui will fly into windows and be killed by the impact with the glass. Our understanding is this happens when tui have dined on fermented nectar and fly while intoxicated. The Wikipedia entry states tui "have even been known to mob harriers and magpies". The harrier is a large hawk, and magpies are well known to attack humans. It stands to reason that as tui are prepared to take on harriers and magpies, in most instances tui would certainly be able to defend themselves from a Cat.

Tui (Prosthemadera Novaeseelandiae) - Conservation Status = Least Concern

Our view is it is extremely unlikely a single Cat could be responsible for killing 18 tui. Joakim Liman is either lying on behalf of Gareth Morgan's 'conservation' cult, or more likely the culprits would be stoat, ferret or weasel. The remaining carrion will have attracted all sorts of critters, including the local Cats, hence the alleged paw prints the group claim they found.

The article proceeds to use further loaded language to define the location as a 'crime scene' and the Cat who supposedly killed the tui as a 'four legged criminal'. We also note Liman demonstrating his ignorance of the law by promoting the idea of 'feral' verses 'domestic' and omitting the other definition of 'stray' as defined under the the Animal Welfare Act. Liman also demonstrates his ignorance by assuming all domestic Cats have a collar: "They do not yet know if the white Cat, which has a black tip on it's tail, is a 'feral' or domestic Cat, as they cannot tell whether it is wearing a collar". Later in the article he states: "Owners could attach a multitude of bells to their collars".

A few words on Cat collars from Feline Rights to Joakim Liman: Most domestic Cats do not actually have collars and that's a good call, collars are well known to be a hazard for Cats, as documented in the following article from the Nelson Mail.

01 January 2016 - SPCA Warns Of Collar Risk After Cat Injury

Liman parrots the antifelinist Gareth Morgan and states "A really easy thing to do would be to just close the door and keep them inside". Well, we'd like to see the ignorant antifelinists confined to quarters forever and see how they like the experience of permanent confinement. Of great interest to us was Joakim Liman's statement that "people should at least keep their Cats inside during the day because that is when tui and other natives are out and about". Alright, compare that statement with the published opinion of none other than Karen Fifield, the CEO of Wellington Zoo .

20 May 2016 - Responsible 'Pet' 'Ownership' Is About All Animals
Karen Fifield
Karen Fifield - CEO Wellington Zoo

The above link is one sick and twisted article from Karen Fifield which includes an array of poisonous nonsensical lies. For example this insulting quote: "Microchipping Cats helps to make sure that Cats get the love and care that they deserve". By stating such, the intended inference is anyone who does not engage in microchipping does not love or care for their Cats. Well pardon us you old harpy but we've been keeping Cats for decades prior to you importing yourself from Australia and our Cats are some of the most loved and cared for Cats in town thanks, no microchip required. Do you think we are stupid? We know the only reason you people want compulsory microchipping is to legitimise the murder of countless Cats, but we digress.

The quote from Karen Fifield that is important at this point is: "for the past nine years we have been asking our visitors to think about how they can be responsible 'pet' 'owners' through two simple requests – keeping their Cats in at night, and keeping their dogs on a lead". How interesting, on one hand we have Zoo employee Joakim Liman saying 'keep your Cats indoors during the day' and on the other hand we have Zoo CEO Karen Fifield saying 'keep your Cats in at night'. Without a doubt, the right hand does not know what the left hand is doing, and this comparison of published statements amounts to indisputable proof that what is being expounded on both counts is nothing more than opinionated antifelinist dogma.

Further evidence there is no consensus amongst 'conservationists' when it comes to the draconian proposition of 'Cat curfews' comes in the form of the following article published on the Zealandia Sanctuary website. We quote: "Do you have a Cat? Consider keeping your Cat indoors during the day". We published a link to the original article a few months ago and within a couple of weeks the page had mysteriously vanished from their site. Quite possibly the reason it was removed is because they noticed Feline Rights was linking to the page and at the time Wellington City Council was planning to impose night curfews on Cats. We've sourced a copy of the article which was removed, it's now available for download below.

Cook Strait News Article Part 2

Liman claims 12 million native birds are killed by Cats in NZ each year, we'd love to know where he got that figure from, until we have the actual peer reviewed scientific documentation before us we'll assume he has pulled that figure out of his... hat.

Joakim Liman imported himself from Sweden in 2009. In our opinion the easiest option for all is for him to return to Sweden. While we are all too pleased to have people immigrate to New Zealand, we do need for new New Zealanders to integrate themselves into New Zealand culture. We don't know how you do things in Sweden cuzzie, but for generations our people have kept Cats, they are our beloved family members. If you wish to be a New Zealander you need to understand this fact. Integrate and accept New Zealand culture, including our Cats or as we say in Aotearoa...

"On yer bike mate", which in this context means go back to where you came from.

'Predator-Free' Capital Project

Proposed Predator Free Wellington Map
Proposed 'Predator Free' Wellington Map
The area in pink labeled 'Phase 1' is the Miramar Peninsula.

On 26 September 2016, Wellington City Council announced a joint collaboration with Greater Wellington Regional Council and the Next Foundation . The Next Foundation is a philanthropic environmental and 'educational' organisation. It is connected with the Morgan cult via their mutual association with the R & D group 'Zero Invasive Predators'. The plan is to attempt to make Wellington 'predator free'. They state that rats and stoats are the target, but the truth is all non indigenous animals and birds will be targeted. Rats, stoats, opossums, Cats and hedgehogs for starters and if we take a look at the section on non-native birds over at the Te Motu Kairangi website we see sparrows, starlings, blackbirds and rosellas are all apparently on the 'hit' list. We also understand pigeons and ducks are on the council's hit list of critters to be 'vanished'.

Liman cites non-native birds as undesirables because in his view they are carriers of 'diseases'.

Citing disease as an issue is old form of hate propaganda. In Der Stürmer, a weekly propaganda tabloid of the Nazi era, quite similar in some ways to today's Cook Strait News, The antisemite Julius Streicher often cited disease as one of the issues that supposedly made Jewish people undesirables in the twisted opinion of the National Socialist regime.

Spot The Difference If You Can

Cook Strait News Front Page 2 February 2015 Der Sturmer Front Page Special Editon May 1934
Propaganda tabloids which promote hatred have not changed much in 80 years

The idea is to make a start with the turf Liman's group has claimed, namely the Miramar peninsula, then proceed with further environmentalist pogroms against all non-indigenous fauna across the entire city. Later, the plan is to eradicate all non indigenous plants, Liman is already suggesting citizens aim for at least 25% of the plants in their gardens to be native plants.

The press release from the WCC propaganda office states: "Without introduced predators, birds, lizards, geckos and other native fauna will be able to grow and thrive in Wellington, bringing significant environmental, social and economic benefits".

This statement is a very odd piece of spin from the environmentalist minority. For those who would care to look, native wildlife already abounds in the city, therefore no micromanagement is required. "Economic benefits" refers to the erroneous assumption that more birds = more tourists = more earnings from tourists. The majority of tourists could not care less about birds and those who do will visit Zealandia sanctuary, Wellington Zoo, or one of the national parks. "Social benefits"? There aren't any, all these misguided extremist individuals do is draw attention to themselves as they proceed to actively divide the community and sew the seeds of social unrest.

We were not surprised to see Cat hater Myfanwy Emeny present and we are in the process of investigating the rest of them. It is clear WCC Environment Partnership Leader Tim Park has a close association with some of the most infamous antifelinists in New Zealand. Over at the Forest and Bird blog we found the following article by the antifelinist Polhill Paul.

Wildlife Foxton Trust

WFT Logo
Wildlife Foxton Trust's motto is 'Education
By Example', but as we will demonstrate, what
they have been doing is anything but exemplary.

Amateur environmental extremist group Wildlife Foxton Trust first came to our attention at the end of April 2016 when a report was published in the Manawatu Standard detailing the group's wish to engage in 'Cat control' activities. In true Fairfax Media fake news form, the header image to this article of a Cat with a captured bird was not even taken in New Zealand.

30 April 2016 - Foxton Wildlife Trust Keen To Start Trial To Crack Down On 'Feral' Cats

John Girling

John Girling
John Girling - Chairman, Foxton Wildlife Trust.
Elected to the Foxton Community Board in the 2016
local body elections. He also ran as an independent
candidate for Horowhenua District Council in the
Kere Kere ward, but was not elected to the council.

John Girling spoke before Horizons Regional Council (HRC) in a submission to the HRC regional 'pest' management plan, claiming 'feral' Cats in the Foxton area "kill birds and cause a lot of trouble". The group planned a survey to "consult the community on possible 'feral' Cat control options" and to document all domestic Cats in the Foxton area, prior to a 'trial' involving compulsory microchipping of domestic Cats. Girling is quoted in the article as stating "Our approach is we would like to microchip companion Cats to protect them from 'feral' Cats and the 'disease' carried by 'feral' Cats". He stated the group was considering approaching the antifelinst Gareth Mogan's Morgan Foundation for funding. HRC chairman Bruce Gordon asked if the people catching Cats would be able to check if the Cats they planned to catch have a microchip ID. Girling replied that "everything caught in their traps was brought back to their centre".

Oh Really? Keep this statement from John Girling in mind folks, and read on...

At this point we challenge John Girling to explain to the public exactly how the compulsory microchipping of domestic Cats can protect them from the supposed 'diseases' they claim are carried by 'feral' Cats. The fact is a microchip offers no such protection and microchips fail John. John Girling is just another antifelinist, he lies with the lies of the Morgan cult, and he insults all intelligent New Zealanders with his assumption the citizens of New Zealand are stupid. Undoubtably what Wildlife Foxton Trust really seek is license from Horizons Regional Council to conduct the wholesale slaughter of all Cats they catch who do not return an ID reference on a microchip scanner.

20 March 2016 - Morgan Foundation Collective Lobbying Of Regional Councils

Prior to Girling's submission, the Morgan cult engaged in collective lobbying of Horizons Regional Council. In all, the council received a total of 94 submissions to the plan. 47 regarding 'feral' Cats, and 45 of these from the antifelinist Gareth Morgan's hate group. Most of the submissions were from outside of the Manawatu region. On 11 May 2016 Girling was back before the HRC Environment Committee. His presentation included the alleged "problems with 'feral' Cats killing birds on the estuary".

14 June 2016 - Horizons Regional Council Reject Morgan Cult Directives

In June 2016, Horizons Regional Council declined to actively engage in the Feline holocaust the Morgan cult and John Girling hoped for and chose not to make any changes regarding the classification of 'feral' Cats. The antifelinist Jessi Morgan stated "As soon as we take Gareth away from it people will listen, rather than say 'oh he just wants to kill all the Cats'".

Jessi Morgan, take notice Feline Rights will investigate and document every person who is involved with the orchestrated libelous propaganda campaign against the Cats. Antifelinism is a form of extremism that is just as bad as antisemitism, and all involved with it can expect to be treated with the same level of disdain afforded to antisemites and other racists.

22 July 2016 - Foxton's 'Feral' Cat Crackdown Hits Snag Due To Funding Constraints

By July 2016, Wildlife Foxton Trust's plan to trap and execute as many Cats as possible had reached an impasse due to a lack of funding. John Girling stated "We are not able to address the 'feral' Cat issue at the moment because of 'political sensitivity', I think they call it". You think? Hey John, what the hell are you doing on the Community Board if you cannot see the obvious? The majority of New Zealanders don't want far left private environmental fascists rounding up their Cats. We love our Cats, they are members of our families, it's not quantum physics, it's common sense. If you cannot grasp the basics of common sense then the ideal is for you to tender your resignation from the Community Board immediately. Girling stated their intention is to be 'patient', and indicated they still intend to "carry out a survey of companion Cat owners to find out what animals they owned and what they thought of control measures".

Feline Rights urges residents of the Foxton area to refuse to participate in the so called 'survey'. This group is a private environmentalist cult and they have no right to 'survey' residents regarding the number of Cats they keep. The right thing to do is formally trespass them from your places of residence. In our view what they are really doing is taking a census of your Cats, noting where Cats are and marking them for execution at a later stage, just like the Nazis did to the Jewish people.

2 October 2015 - Foxtons Pest Problem Gets A 'Humane' Solution

Back in October 2015, Horizons Regional Council supplied 40 traps to Wildlife Foxton Trust who first used them for the purposes of indoctrinating children into the ideology of environmental extremism, prior to the environmental brownshirts setting the traps. These traps are "tippy traps", they are live capture traps. John Girling stated "Any creatures caught will be brought back to our depot where they will be dealt with humanely as overseen by our own veterinary surgeon." We'd love to put a name and face to the vet, because if you live in the Foxton area and your Cat mysteriously vanishes, chances are this will be the vet who has put your Cat to death, simply for being a Cat. Email us if you know who this vet is.

Indoctrination Of Children

Left - Occupy their minds with creative activity during the indoctrination process.
Right - Great job kids! You're now initiates of the environmental extremist movement.

A week before the first report on Wildlife Foxton Trust's proposal to conduct antifelinist activities appeared in the Manawatu Standard, another article was published in the Horowhenua Mail. Wildlife Foxton Trust have been indoctrinating children into the ideology of the far left environmental fascist movement. John Girling is a retired industrial psychologist, which suggests to us he's thought through his plan of action carefully, and has a fair idea of how to go about it. Indoctrinate the children now, in the interest of endless proliferation of the dogma of environmental extremism through all future generations.

2 February 2017 - Bones And Fur Were All That Remained In Traps Required To Be Checked Daily
WFT Unattended Trap
The true face of environmentalism. Animals trapped alive and left to die of hunger and thirst.
A clear violation of the Animal Welfare Act 1999.

While we've been investigating Wildlife Foxton Trust since they first publicised their antifelinist sentiments in April 2016, we've refrained from publishing much about them. However, on 2nd February 2017 a report appeared in the Manawatu Standard. A witness discovered six of the traps painted by the children of Foxton Beach School containing skeletal remains and decomposing deceased animals. Wildlife Foxton Trust had failed to check the traps daily as required by law and the trapped animals had suffered a horrible death from thirst and starvation.

The witness quoted John Girling as saying to her "they were pests and he wouldn't mind leaving them there indefinitely". Girling claimed his comment had been 'skewed' by the witness, but was quoted as stating to the Fairfax journalist "I did say it's not a big problem, they are just pests." He also stated "the traps were supposed to be checked once or twice a week".

Well, that's wrong for a start, the law requires live traps to be checked daily. HRC 'habitat protection co-ordinator' Aaron Madden is quoted in the article as stating "volunteers were informed about the importance of checking traps daily", Aaron Madden of HRC also confirmed "It was possible for hedgehogs and Cats to enter the traps but checking them daily should allow them to be released".

Curiouser and curiouser, HRC appear to want any hedgehogs trapped to be released, yet in the article in the Horowhenua Mail dated 14 March 2016 Girling proudly states "Four hedgehogs had already been caught in the mustalid traps".

Update 13 February 2017

We contacted Horizons Regional Council via email regarding the matter of hedgehogs. Aaron Madden of HRC promptly responded stating the report published in the Manawatu Standard on 2 February 2017 is incorrect on their position regarding hedgehogs. HRC states hedgehogs are a known threat to native wildlife and thus are one of the 'pests' being targeted. HRC also states "The intention was to release any Cats (or any other 'pet') caught and euthanize the 'pests' caught".

Manawatu SPCA inspector and manager Danny Auger stated "if people weren't checking the traps they were failing with their obligations". Ministry for Primary Industries animal welfare manager Kate Littin also confirmed, when using live traps there is a legal requirement for traps to be checked daily.

John Girling stated "the traps were supposed to be checked once or twice a week", therefore it's clear Wildlife Foxton Trust is willfully in violation of the Animal Welfare Act. Undoubtedly an example needs to made of these people by way of prosecution. Feline Rights will follow the matter up with the relevant authorities to ensure all involved are brought to justice.

10 February 2017 - Horizons Regional Council Puts Stop To Live Trapping
WFT Proposed Kill Trap
Maim and kill traps being considered for deployment near residences of companion animals

On 10 February 2017, NZ Herald published an update on the environmental extremists active in the Foxton area. Horizons Regional Council have halted the live trapping activities of Wildlife Foxton Trust and withdrawn the traps from use.

Wildlife Foxton Trust is quoted in the article as stating "it is looking at whether kill traps could replace the live-capture traps". Aaron Madden of Horizons Regional Council stated "the downside of kill traps was the possibility of killing pets, which is why live-capture traps were used in the first place".

Feline Rights compliments HRC for taking action and withdrawing the live capture traps from use. However, as it appears Wildlife Foxton Trust will now attempt to proceed with it's trapping activities using 'kill' traps, the problem has the potential to go from bad to worse. 'Kill' traps like the ones illustrated above do not kill instantaneously, they maim and the animals caught still die a slow death from hunger and thirst or possibly from infection of the wound.

If these kill traps are allowed to be deployed it is only a matter of time before a companion animal is killed or maimed. We believe traps such as these may also pose a threat to protected native species. The media and animal welfare groups are now watching closely. It's not going to be a good look for anyone involved with the matter when a companion animal falls victim to the incompetence of the amateur environmental extremist movement.

As Wildlife Foxton Trust have already demonstrated their inability to monitor live capture traps they have set, we implore Horizon's Regional Council to cease all support for Wildlife Foxton Trusts trapping activities, and revoke or deny permission for them to use any form of traps.

What has happened in the Foxton area is an object lesson to local governmental bodies nationwide on how things can go terribly wrong when local government outsources 'pest control' activities to private environmental extremist groups and we feel the example of Foxton behoves local government to have a total rethink on the value of private-public partnerships with amateur environmental groups when it comes to truly humane animal management.

Wildlife Foxton Trust = Amateur Environmental Extremists

Do not support them, do not donate to them, make all involved with the organisation feel uncomfortable.

Say No To Kiwibank Say No To Kiwibank Say No To Kiwibank

Don't Bank On Kiwibank

Kiwibank is well known for it's association with multimillionaire antifelinist and political aspirant Gareth Morgan via the GMK KiwiSaver scheme, Morgan sold the business to Kiwibank for the tidy sum of 50 million dollars.

13 March 2014 - Kiwibank Dumps Morgan Brand
Gareth Morgan - Exhibitionist
Grab your barf bags folks, self styled Übermensch Gareth Morgan
divests himself of clothing while enjoying his football team in action.
No surprises Kiwibank chose to dump the Morgan brand!

Back in September 2016, Kiwibank entered into a partnership with Predator Free New Zealand Trust and Department of Conservation. Kiwibank decided this was a worthwhile cause that might just drum up some business. They failed to consider the moral, ethical and political hot potato they were grasping at when they chose to support environmental extremism.

5 September 2016 - Kiwibank Launches 'Boots and Paws' Taskforce

The press release from Predator Free New Zealand dated 5th September 2016 says Kiwibank will contribute to the unachievable environmental extremist goal of 'Pest Free New Zealand by 2050'. We understand Kiwibank will donate 1.7 million dollars toward environmental extremism which will be used to fund some of the private eco-fascist extremist 'community groups' which have sprung up all over the place like a plague of poisonous mushrooms and also fund Department of Conservation dogs. There are two types of 'conservation' dogs, 'protected species dogs' who sniff out the location of protected species and 'pest detection dogs'.

The press release states: "Pest detection dogs have been used to indicate the presence of target predators (stoats, rodents or Cats). In the majority of situations, these dogs indicate the subtle sign or scent of the target animal rather than locate the live animal. This information is then used to attempt to eradicate the animal or animals by other methods like trapping, poisoning or shooting."

They suggest 'pest detection dogs' are used only for detection purposes however if we read the words of commenter Paul Martinson on the Polhill Restoration Trust Page over at the Halo Project Website, the real use of conservation dogs is clarified.

Halo Project Polhill Restoration Trust Page

We quote Paul Martinson from the Polhill Restoration Trust page:

"If I can say this; maybe someone can obtain or train a DOC certified predator dog for feral Cats within the Halo and put it to work. I've had one..and it is an effective way to eradicate the trap shy animals. They are smaller in number than stoats but very destructive."

Lets get clear, the so called 'halo' around Zealandia Sanctuary is a residential area and these evil people contemplate turning loose Department of Conservation 'predator dogs' to kill any Cat the dogs can find.

A second article by Jessy Edwards appeared on the Idealog website "in association with Kiwibank" on 6th December 2016. In December, Kiwibank also began displaying posters in their branches promoting the Department of Conservation dogs.

6 December 2016 - Inside Kiwibank's 'We're Going To The Moon' Conservation Moment

This is an interesting article, both telling when it comes to the mindset of those engaging themselves in trapping, and also chilling when one notes the images of children being indoctrinated into ideology of enviro-fascism. Killing things is nothing to be proud of kids! Kim Waghorn, Kiwibank marketing manager is quoted as stating she found the act of engaging in trapping "weirdly addictive". It's interesting Kim feels this way about trapping because in the following article over at the Predator Free NZ website we find the following quotes from Nick Tansley of Gareth Morgan's Halo Project:

"Trapping brings people closer together. Everyone's working together (towards the goal of Wellington as a predator-free capital) and helping each other out." He's even heard of people perched on their porches armed with slug pellets. "It gets quite addictive."

Back at the beginning of April 2016, Nick was a guest speaker on "Enhancing The Halo" at the WCC Nursery open day. One of our supporters attended the meeting and when a member of the audience asked if her kitten could get caught in the rat trap. He assured her: "We're not out to get Cats". Yet on the same page we find the following chilling quotes:

"What if you have a cat or five? There are cat-friendly traps too."

"Tansley points out that you can still own a Cat while considering the native wildlife: microchip your cat so they can be identified in a Cat roundup" Nick either blatantly lied when he stated "We're not out to get Cats", or he's very confused.

Brad Windust & DOC Dog
Brad Windust - DOC dog handler and Cat murderer

Here is one of the Department of Conservation dog handlers and his dog, one Brad Windust of the Northland environmental extremist group Bay Bush Action Trust. At last count, their website states they have murdered 81 Cats. Up to now we have chosen not to publish any horror pics. However as Kiwibank has chosen to fund despicable bloodthirsty individuals like Brad Windust, and possibly Kim Waghorn has no idea of what Kiwibank is funding, we will publish some of the photographic evidence we have collected.

Forensic Images Of Cats Murdered By Environmental Extremists

Before proceeding we'll respond to the quotes above from Nick Tansley. You fascists of the private environmental extremist movement have absolutely no right to conduct "Cat roundups" within urban and residential areas at all. We knew from the outset the Green eco-nazis at Wellington City Council planned to outsource the murder of countless Cats within residential areas to amateur environmental groups and later we received confirmation of this via leaked legal consultation documents. For the record we strongly disapprove of citizens sitting on their porches armed with any weapon.

The plan is to ride roughshod over the Animal Welfare Act and designate any Cat without a microchip ID as 'feral' and allow private environmental extremist groups to conduct an ongoing campaign of mass murder against people's beloved Feline family members. All of this talk of microchips 'to keep your Cats safe' is a red herring, Without a doubt, the extremist environmentalists want to kill them all. So if you love Cats and keep Cats it is your moral duty to stand up to those like Nick who openly admit they are addicted to killing.

Jessi Morgan
Jessi Morgan - Spokesperson for Predator Free NZ,
Antifelinist and daughter of Gareth Morgan, she also
states she is addicted to killing small furry animals.

Now, the Halo Project is an organisation that was set up by none other than the antifelinist Gareth Morgan, and we were not at all surprised to discover a mugshot of his daughter, the antifelinist Jessi Morgan a bit further down the page in the idealog article. Seems she is the spokesperson for Predator Free New Zealand. No surprises there, wherever you see anything to do with environmental extremism you can bet the Morgan cult has a dirty great greasy finger in the metaphorical pie. Jessi Morgan is quoted as stating "It’s the gamification of how many rats did you catch? that is so addictive". How interesting, there's that 'addictive' word again.

We feel any form of addiction is something to be concerned about, especially so if what one is addicted to involves killing. From the esoteric perspective there's all sorts of reasons a person might find themselves in the position of being addicted to the desire to kill. However, most people have no understanding of esoteric matters, so for now we will put aside our some 35+ years practical hands-on experience with thought-forms & tulpas, larvae, lower elementaries and lower astral beings, our understanding of how the release of etheric and astral force from the victim at the time of death can give a person a 'hit', not to mention the sciences of magick and demonology in general, lest we be red carded with standard response of the ignorami, namely 'conspiracy theory', which for the record is term originally seeded into the common vocabulary for the purposes of damage control by none other than the CIA.

So for now, we'll just stick to the mainstream and suggest anyone who is addicted to something is getting some form of 'hit' each time they engage in whatever the activity is they find to be addictive and addictions of any form tend to be progressive. For example, watching a little 'harmless' pornography can easily progress to stealing lingerie, stalking female members of the community and if unchecked can eventually progress to engaging in the act of rape.

Our view is some of these people who have an addiction to killing small furry animals will quite possibly progress to killing larger creatures or even human beings. That is the nature of addictive behavior, it tends to progress. So, to Kim Waghorn, Nick Tansley, Jessi Morgan and others of their ilk we say: Consult with your doctor, get a referral note to mental health services and at least participate in a mental health assessment, because we have no doubt that folks like you people have a few screws loose. Kiwibank likes to think of the unattainable predator free goal along the lines of the United States Apollo moonshots. "Going to the moon" they say. More like a pack of flippin' loonies! Get help before you do something extra nasty while servicing your killing addiction and you find yourselves in a mental healthcare facility or appearing before the court.

All we can add is if you do not want to be a part of this madness there are other options for banking available, and changing who you bank with is a fair way to protest, just be sure to tell Kiwibank why you chose an alternative option for banking.

Update: 27 October 2016

Today we've added part two of the Rise of Antifelinism in New Zealand series. This article covers the trading of Cat skins on Trade Me. We caution readers this article contains disturbing images. Working on this article has provided some insights into the stressful work done by staff employed in law enforcement in the interest of bringing criminals to justice.

Bottom line is it has not been fun working on this one.

Northland Cats In Balance - Response to National Cat Management Strategy Group

The full 17 page response to NCMSG is available for download in pdf format on the summary page. This is a very well researched paper in favor of the Cats of New Zealand, which dispels a lot of lies being expounded by both the environmental movement and certain groups and individuals who claim to be advocates of animal welfare.

Gratitude to Northland Cats In Balance for your efforts on behalf of the Cats.

Who is the National Cat Management Strategy Group?

National Cat Management Strategy Group

Founded In November 2014

* The Morgan Foundation
* New Zealand Veterinary Association
* New Zealand Companion Animal Society
* Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals
* Companion Animal Veterinarians
* Local Government New Zealand

Plus "Governmental Observers" From:

* Ministry for Primary Industries
* Department of Conservation

The National Cat Management Strategy Group (NCMSG) is a private group of unelected individuals founded in November 2014. Truth is we are still researching, up until the NZ Companion Animal Council Conference on 21/22 September 2016, they have chosen to lurk in the background, and to be honest, people who hide are afraid. The one name which comes up most often in connection with this group is none other than professional Cat hater and general manager of the Morgan Foundation, Geoff Simmons. Our view is NCMSG is nothing more than a construction of the antifelinist Morgan cult.

In February 2016, they conducted a secret consultation where they engaged only the groups they selected whom they felt would support their intent to work in stages to eradicate all New Zealand Cats. At that point someone leaked some of their papers to the media and articles were published which exposed the presence of NCMSG to the public.

24 February 2016 - 'Feral' Cats Could Face Eradication

24 February 2016 - Cats In Crosshairs As New Group Targets Numbers

26 February 2016 - Getting Rid Of 2.5 Million 'Feral' Cats By 2025

26 February 2016 - Mayor: Council Likely To Be Lumbered With Enforcing Cat Law

NCMSG have stated their intention is to ensure the eradication of all 'feral' and stray Cats by 2025. They intend to do this by lobbying Parliament and local government to legislate on 'Cat control' measures. They wish to have the stray Cat designation expunged from the Animal Welfare Act 1999, thus leaving only two categories of Cats: 'Owned' Cats and 'Feral' Cats. Owned Cats being those Cats with a microchip and registered with NZ Companion Animal Register, with all other Cats defined as 'feral' and thus targets for mass extermination. Their proposals include draconian restrictions on domestic Cats and those citizens who keep Cats. These measures range from compulsory microchipping, curfews and Cat free zones, through to the idea of citizens only being permitted to keep Cats indoors and Cats being allowed outdoors only "on a leash". It is clear that all of the proposals contained in their draft strategy paper perfectly match the suggestions previously published in media articles quoting New Zealand's number one antifelinist, the multimillionaire Gareth Morgan.

Check out the draft strategy document and their phase two survey and you will see for yourselves this material is pure Gareth Morgan, he may as well have written it all himself. Note also, the survey is only for organisations, they are not interested in the opinion of the public. There is only one word for this group and all of the individuals involved with it. Subversives.

The Morgan Foundation

Gareth Morgan Geoff Simmons Jessi Morgan
Antifelinists - Left: Gareth Morgan - Center: Geoff Simmons - Right: Jessi Morgan

The Morgan Foundation define themselves as a philanthropic organisation. In fact they are an antifelinist environmental extremist cult. Gareth Morgan publicly stated in January 2013 his aim is to eradicate all Cats in New Zealand.

22 January 2013 - Morgan Calls For Cats To Be Wiped Out

The Morgan Foundation provide funding for restoration ecology projects, for example Polhill Restoration Trust, and are staunch promoters of trapping those animals deemed 'pests' via their Halo Project. Even a cursory view of the Halo website will reveal a voluminous amount of antifelinist propaganda material.

Multimillionaire Gareth Morgan has no formal qualifications in ecology, he's an economist. Gareth and his daughter, Morgan Foundation project director Jesse Morgan are not formally on the panel at NCMSG but we include them here, because Morgan Foundation General Manger Geoff Simmons appears to be the individual who has followed Gareth Morgan's directive to coordinate the National Cat Management Strategy Group.

Geoff Simmons is also an economist, so far as we can tell he has no qualifications in ecology either. He's simply a well paid zealot who appears to spend most of his waking hours traveling around New Zealand, expressing his denigratory view of Cats to anyone who is gullible enough to listen to him. He does this on behalf of New Zealand's #1 antifelinist, Gareth Morgan.

When it comes to Cats, Gareth Morgan and his followers are essentially nothing less than a genocidal environmental extremist hate group. We here at Feline Rights deeply ponder the reasons why other apparently respectable organisations like NZVA and SPCA are choosing to sit at the same table as environmental extremists from the Morgan Foundation.

As the antifelinists of the Morgan cult are involved with and appear to be directing NCMSG, we feel that makes any statements from NCMSG likely to be anything other than impartial or scientific. By associating themselves with Morgan, all of the other organisations involved in NCMSG appear thoroughly disreputable until they formally distance themselves from any association with Gareth Morgan's hate cult, and also apologise to the nation for their gross error of judgement.

New Zealand Veterinary Association

Callum Irvine Pieter Verhoek Helen Beattie
Left: Callum Irvine - Center: Pieter Verhoek - Right: Helen Beattie

It is of deep concern both the NZVA and SPCA have chosen to side with antifelinists and participate in this charade. Those of us who keep Cats need the services of the veterinarians, and we need to be able to trust our vets. The NZVA's association with NCMSG only makes the public less trusting of the vets. Callum Irvine and Geoff Simmons delivering a fawning speech to Wellington City Council on the council voting to proceed with compulsory microchipping was nothing more than an insult, and the NZVA press release dated 4 August 2016 was even more insulting to the intelligence of all good folks who keep Cats.

The NZVA press release of 4 August 2016 entitled "Wellington Cats Will Be Safe And Sound", begins the process of insulting us with it's title. No Cats will be safe and sound from the planned environmental extremist pogroms and no one who keeps Cats will feel safe until the antifelinist movement is exposed, discredited and totally defeated.

In the immortal words of British historian Sir Ian Kershaw: "The path to Auschwitz was paved with indifference".

All good citizens must now purge themselves of indifference and oppose these individuals before the Feline holocaust begins.

Compulsory microchipping is clearly a money maker for the vets and NZ Companion Animal Council, our calculations suggest there is about $120 Million Dollars to be made from it.

An article in the NZ Herald dated 28 April 2015 cites a 'review' commissioned by NZVA "calling for bold and urgent measures to control roaming Cats". We're uncertain if this 'review' has ever been made public, we've searched for it online and have yet to find a copy of it. Auckland SPCA executive director Bob Kerridge was critical of the review, stating "It certainly was not a comprehensive report, as I expected it should have been if we were going to make decisions based on it." Bob is also quoted as stating "there was no evidence to suggest the stray Cat population was growing and that the TNR approach worked"

28 April 2015 - Microchipping Cats Unnecessary Says SPCA Director

We agree with Bob, we've just about cleared up the strays from our locality, so far this year we've had only one lost Cat who went home to her mom, and one stray we are presently working with. We do not work with TNR, though experience demonstrates TNR is an option that works. We befriend, socialise and re-home strays who present to us, and we've never needed to use a trap. We'll euthenase a stray on veterinary advice, but as the Veterinary Association has chosen to go down this misguided path and be part NCMSG, an organisation dedicated to mass extermination, we're now much less likely to trust the opinion of our vets.

NZ Companion Animal Council & RNZSPCA

Barry Helem Arnja Dale Ric Odom
Left: Barry Helem - Chair NZCAC & CEO Canterbury SPCA
Center: Arnja Dale - Deputy Chair NZCAC & Chief Scientific Officer SPCA
Right: Ric Odom - Outgoing National CEO SPCA

Barry Helem is Chair of NZ Companion Animal Council & CEO Canterbury SPCA. One of the things we have discovered in the course of our ongoing research is both Barry Helem and Ric Odom have an interest in motorcycle touring. Barry has motorcycle touring listed as an interest on his linkedin page and Ric's connection with the sport is well documented online. Interestingly, Gareth Morgan is also into motorcycle touring, in fact he and his wife Jo went for a motorcycle tour in North Korea a while back. We could think of no better place to to visit to research the fabrication and dispensation of propaganda. We have found a few other people connected with motorcycles who are actively speaking out against the Cats in the mainstream media, Colin Lister in Taranaki is one of them. What do you think the connection is?

Arnja Dale is Deputy Chair of NZ Companion Animal Council & Chief Scientific Officer SPCA, She's infamous for her recent statement during a TV interview that in her opinion, shooting a domestic Cat in the head is 'humane'. Video of this statement from Arnja Dale is available online here...

Killing Neighbours Cat Technically Not Cruelty RSPCA Says

We hope to provide more in depth coverage on this particular incident in an upcoming article on the rise of antifelinism in New Zealand. For now we express our deep disappointment in the statement from Arnja Dale. This is not what we expect to hear from SPCA. As humans, if one of us was shot in the head, we would not consider it a 'humane' way to be dispatched, and in our view, the same applies for a Cat. The SPCA should rightfully be busying themselves with getting the Act changed to ensure the shooting of a domestic Cat is illegal in the interest of discouraging other people from doing this. But what are they doing? Conspiring as part of NCMSG to place restrictions on Cats and those who keep them and conspiring to conduct the mass extermination of all Cats who do not have a microchip and registration with NZ Companion Animal Register.

Arnja Dale's position on the matter is unacceptable, she brings SPCA into disrepute in the eyes of the public, as does the SPCA's participation in NCMSG. Until SPCA has an ideological purge of their current senior staff and changes their position on the matter of 'Cat control', Feline Rights NZ strongly encourages all servants of Cats to refrain from supporting SPCA.

Andrea Midgen Sarah Zito Shalsee Vigeant
Left: Andrea Midgen - Interim National CEO SPCA
Center: Sarah Zito - Scientific Officer Auckland SPCA
Right: Shalsee Vigeant - Veterinary Manager Auckland SPCA

Andrea Midgen is Interim National CEO SPCA, She is not listed as being a member of NCMSG, but as Interim National CEO in the wake of Ric Odom moving on to his next management position in hospice care and because of her position on dogs defined as dangerous breed dogs in the forthcoming government legislation, we've included her and her mugshot in this article as someone all NZ Cat lovers need to keep an eye on for now. Apologies Andrea, like it or not as national CEO of SPCA, you're part of this.

On 23 September 2016 associate local government minister Louise Upston announced the government's new policy on dangerous breed dogs. The SPCA was quick to to speak out on behalf of the dogs, strongly opposing the section of the legislation that would prevent SPCA from adopting out dogs in their care defined as being of 'dangerous breed'.

23 September 2016 - Tough New Dog Control Laws 'Condemning Innocent Dogs To Die' Says SPCA

Later on 23 September, one of our supporters forwarded us an email ftom the SPCA fundraising administrator.

The content of the email is also posted online here:

RNZSPCA - Save Innocent Lives

To those of us who serve Cats, it seems totally incongruous that on one hand SPCA conspire behind closed doors to kill innumerable Cats, and at the same time oppose the government's proposed legislation on dangerous breed dogs. One could well query if SPCA's support of dogs at this time is intended to mitigate their plans for the mass extermination of Cats. Unquestionably, there's something very wrong about the way SPCA are doing things at present and we have much more to add about SPCA's activities in forthcoming articles.

Sarah Zito is Scientific Officer at Auckland SPCA, she has a couple of papers published online and seems to follow scientific method to the letter. At least they appear to be peer reviewed, which is refreshing to see as a lot of 'scientific' material presently being cited in support of the environmental movement and the Green Party have no peer review and clearly are nothing more than pseudoscience.

We've taken a look at some of Sarah's work on the matter of 'semi owned Cats' and the people who serve them and in our view her research is of value. Once she stands down from NCMSG, we'd be happy to engage with Sarah and share our views on serving Cats. Sadly a lot of people in the community are not smart enough to take the work of serving Cats as seriously as they should. Our view is once one begins serving a Cat, it's your responsibility to ensure the Cat gets the best deal. This includes desexing, vaccination, and any other vet care required, socialisation to the point of the Cat being handleable, and eventually arranging for a good home for the Cat, or admission to a Cat shelter that has a no-kill policy, so the Cat can be forwarded to a good home.

Shalsee Vigeant is Veterinary Manager at Auckland SPCA, going by her accent it sounds like she's from Canada. We don't know much about her yet, but this 20 minute recorded interview featuring Shalsee Vigeant and rabid antifelinist Brett Gartrell, co-director of the 'Wildbase' wildlife hospital at Massey University, confirms Shalsee as being complicit in the orchestrated libelous propaganda campaign against the Cats.

22 September 2016 - Cats Strategy Criticised For Avoiding Hard Questions

This is an interesting piece of propaganda, not so much for it's content, which is the standard antifelinisim that has been laid on the public ad nauseum. It's interesting because they have used the 'nasty cop - nice cop' framework to assist in dispensing the propaganda message to those who are not smart enough to see it for what it is. It's a 20 minute interview with pair of them.

Give it a listen and look beyond the content itself to the core intent of the message.

By starting with Brett Gartrell in the role of Mr Extremist-Bad-Guy, and then following him up with NCMSG representative Shalsee Vigeant in the role of Ms Not-So-Extremist-Good-Gal They attempt to entrain listeners to believe NCMSG = Good. Well, they aren't, in fact NCMSG is the biggest threat to Cats ever seen in New Zealand. Note carefully the methodology the Morgan cult has utilised for the dispensation of propaganda in this instance, chances are they will use similar methods again.

We also note Shalsee's comment in this article on free Cat desexing at SPCA Auckland

5 October 2015 - Free Cat Desexing At SPCA Auckland

Quote: "They're often not starting with the best health, and the worst place an animal can be is a shelter. No matter the quality of food or how much enrichment you give them, it's still a shelter. It's a stress environment. "It's the same as humans - stress makes you sick."

As experienced shelter volunteers we are well aware of the stress precipitated by confinement in a shelter environment, and without a doubt, stress can precipitate both psychological and physical illness. We are now witnessing the negative effects of stress on human members of the community caused by the incessant ongoing anti-Cat rhetoric in the compromised mainstream media, and the prospect of draconian 'Cat control' measures. Some are upset, some are hiding and feeling disenfranchised by the community, some are downright angry, and some are reaching for the bottle to drown their sorrows.

We need to be able to trust the SPCA as sure as we need to be able to trust the vets, so Shalsee, next time you are sitting at the table with Gareth Morgan's manager Geoff Simmons, spare a thought for all of the NZ citizens suffering from stress related illness precipitated by the works of NCMSG, and spare a thought for damage to SPCA's reputation due to SPCA working with the antifelinist Morgan cult and conspiring to murder countless innocent Cats.

Local Government New Zealand

Mike Reid Wayne O'Donnell Myfanwy Emeny
Left: Mike Reid - Center: Wayne O'Donnell - Right: Myfanwy Emeny

Mike Reid is Principal Policy Adviser - Local Government New Zealand, he is also on the board of the Institute of Governance and Policy Studies (IGPS) , an academic political think-tank at Victoria University Of Wellington.

IGPS hosted the infamous Welfare Working Group chaired none other than madam slash and burn herself, economist Paula Rebstock. On the overview page on the IGPS website it states: "Priority will be given to research on issues where it appears that vested interests are trying to get or retain advantages for themselves and so there is a need for the wider interests of all New Zealanders to be taken into account". That's great Mike, now take a look at yourselves and ask yourselves who the vested interests are when it comes to NCMSG.

Wayne O'Donnell is General Manager Catchment Management Group at Greater Wellington Regional Council and we were not at all surprised to see 'biodiversity' listed as one of his management tasks at GWRC. Wayne was quoted in the following article as stating "his council strongly supported limiting cats to three per household, and even fewer in areas that were rich in wildlife". This suggests to us Wayne is just another deluded eco-nutcase, which means any input from him to NCMSG will not be about true Feline welfare. Go do something else Wayne, before your actions against the Cats come back to haunt you.

15 May 2016 - Cat Lovers Fear Wholesale Genocide of Stray Felines In Wellington

Myfanwy Emeny, Team Leader Urban Ecology, Wellington City Council. WCC pay her to act as representative of the council traveling the country expounding the antifelinst doctrine of the Morgan cult. She's yet another person caught in the delusion of 'native biodiversity'. She is the one who consulted with law firm DLA Piper on 'regulating' Cats who are supposedly 'harming native wildlife' on behalf of Wellington City Council. WCC plan to subcontract out to environmental extremist groups the mass extermination of all Cats who are not microchipped and registered with NZ Companion Animal Register.

Here are links to her in costume for the WCC entry into the World of WearableArt design competition.

Myfanwy Emeny - "Parks Goddess" - Large Image

Myfanwy Emeny - "Parks Goddess"

Yes, that's a birds nest for a hat and how about the deceased Fantails, what's the bet the tale is 'the Cat caught them prior to them getting stuffed'? This costume and entry is likely financed by Wellington ratepayers as yet another propaganda incentive for the pseudoscience of 'restoration ecology'. One picture says a thousand words, If this isn't queen of the deluded bird-brains we don't know what is. To Myfanwy, we now gift a little satirical makutu: Next time you're wearing it may 1080 stoats seek refuge in it as they flee Kelvin Hastie's pogrom. But seriously, as an antifelinist she's a dangerous woman who is a threat to you and your Cats.

Department Of Conservation

Allan Ross Herb Christophers Simon Kelton
Left: Allan Ross - Director of Transformation and Threats
Center: Herb Christophers - Senior Communications Adviser
Right: Simon Kelton - Threats Manager - Science and Policy Group

Allan Ross - Director of Transformation and Threats. One of the senior administrators at Department of Conservation. Seems he's been part of NCMSG since it's conception in November 2014. As Allan is onboard, that tells us Cats are on the primary 'hit' list at a national level. Allan Ross and Simon Kelton keep a low profile on the internet.

This is to be expected, as amongst the more extremist factions of the environmental movement, DOC is very unpopular for its usage of the 1080 (Sodium Fluoroacetate) poison via mass aerial drops.

6 October 2016 - DOC Ranger And Family Cop Abuse After Photo Posted On Anti-1080 Page

To quote Minister of Conservation Hon. Maggie Barry: "These people will stop at nothing to get their aim, and I will not bow down in front of that level of threat." Well Minister, we've been telling people these environmentalists are extremists all along, what more proof does anyone need? We cannot condone anyone making threats any more than we can condone elected members of Parliament removing posts and banning members of the pro-Cat lobby from the Minister's official facebook page. We'll just say when it comes to Cats, 'transformation' = destruction of the culture we know and love, and here in New Zealand there's no greater 'threat' to our customary right to keep Cats than government sanctioned eco-fascism.

After February 2016, NCMSG decided a propaganda expert would be useful, so the handsome Herb Christophers was engaged for the task of pacifying the populace. You can't conduct mass exterminations without an expert in the dispensation of death on a mass scale so they engaged Simon Kelton to consult on the final solution.

Herb Christophers is employed as Senior Communications Adviser at Department of Conservation (Public Relations and Communications) In other words he's a social engineering and propaganda expert. In his profile over at the DOC blog he describes himself as a "closet bird geek". When the fox is in the chicken house the last thing on his mind is the welfare of the chickens, and as Herb is by his own admission a person enamored with the delusion of 'native biodiversity', it's clear he's unqualified to make impartial decisions on what's best for our Cats.

Simon Kelton is Department of Conservation Threats Manager, Science and Policy Group. It appears he has more 'conservation' skills than you could hurl a hundred dead rats at. He is "Owner" of the current DOC "Operational Planning for Animal Pest Operations" manual, a document that advocates the use of PAPP (Para-Aminopropiophenone) on Cats. PAPP kills via hypoxia, coma, and death due to the inhibition of cellular respiration. Marketed by NZ company Connovation as PredaStop, their brochure states "The onset of symptoms is rapid and stoats and Cats are usually unconscious within 45 minutes". So, it takes 45 minutes of suffering for a Cat to be dispatched in the name of 'conservation' by this poison. That's anything but humane. Why are the SPCA not investigating this? Because most of their high level staff right up to the chief scientific officer and the national CEO himself are complicit as part of the National Cat Management Strategy Group.

Zyklon B PredaStop Zyklon B

Hey Simon, at a couple of dollars for each Cat your staff kill, is this more cost-effective than Zyklon-B?
Without question, Simon Kelton is the expert on mass extermination, which is what NCMSG is all about.

NZ Companion Animal Council Conference 2016

21-22 September 2016

NZCAC Conference 2016
Brentwood Hotel
The Conference Venue: Brentwood Hotel, 16 Kemp St, Kilbirnie, Wellington

NZ Companion Animal Council (NZCAC) will be convening for their 2016 conference at the Brentwood Hotel in Kilbernie, Wellington on 21st/22nd September 2016. NZCAC are key players in the anti-Cat propaganda campaign presently being laid on the NZ public via the mainstream media, and intimately connected with the anti-Felinist organisation, the National Cat Management Strategy Group (NCMSG). (1)

Barry Helem Dr Arnga Dale
Left: Barry Helem - NZCAC Chair & CEO SPCA Canterbury
Right: Dr Arnga Dale - NZCAC Deputy Chair & SPCA Chief Scientific Officer

While we have yet to confirm, our sources tell us that NZCAC Chair Barry Helem is part of the NCMSG. He's also Chief Executive Officer for SPCA Canterbury. So far as we can tell, it appears Barry chooses to sit at the same table as Morgan Foundation general manager and professional Cat hater Geoff Simmons. Our view is until everyone involved recognises they are sitting at the same table as members of an environmental extremist hate group and distances themselves from the anti-Felinist Morgan cult, NZCAC are not in any way a friend of the Cats.

Because of this, we strongly encourage citizens not to support NZCAC.

Checking their conference brochure we recognise a couple of obvious individuals who have been actively engaging themselves in the promotion of the anti-Felinist social engineering campaign.

On day 1 - 21st September they are running a module on 'Cat Management',and guess who is speaking.

Callum Irvine Myfanwy Emeny.jpg
Left: NCMSG Spokesman Callum Irvine - Right: Myfanwy Emeny WCC Urban 'Ecologist'

None other than NCMSG mouthpiece, Callum Irvine and WCC Urban 'Ecology' Team Leader and anti-Felinist, Myfanwy Emeny. She who consulted with law firm DLA Piper on 'regulating' Cats who are supposedly 'harming native wildlife' on behalf of Wellington City Council, and has actively been engaging in the promotion of Morgan cult anti-Felinist doctrine to other councils, paid for in part by Wellington ratepayers. While we have yet to check, we figure ratepayers will be footing the bill for Myfanwy Emeny to be present and speak at the conference. Both Callum Irvine and Myfanwy Emeny have been working together in the dispensation of Morgan cult dogma in other regions.

Dr Sarah Zito Peter Dormon
Left: Dr Sarah Zito - Studying servants of Cats from the social engineers perspective
Right: Peter Dormon of Lonely Miaow Association, Winner of the FRNZ Loose Lips Sink Ships Award

The other two speaking at the module are Dr Sarah Zito who appears to be a scientist presently engaged in psychological studies of those who serve stray and colony Cats and Peter Dormon of The Lonely Miaow Association. We wondered what a fellow Feline welfare worker is doing associating himself on the same bill as two well recognised anti-Felinists, so we investigated.

Following publication of this article, a supporter emailed us with this information:

"I cannot believe that Peter Dormon of Lonely Miaow Association is featuring as a speaker. His Association kills colony Cats and does not believe in TNR. This is unbelievable. He is a huge supporter of Gareth Morgan. My vets in Auckland refused to kill the Cats and would not have him as a client."

Then we found this...

Peter Dormon Spills The Beans On NCMSG

A comment by Peter Dormon himself in response to the article entitled "Cat Flap" by the infamous Polhill Paul published as feature article in the 27 August 2016 edition of The Listener. We Quote...

"I am delighted the New Zealand Companion Animal Council has put together a National Cat Management Group"

"With a key draft strategic goal of “No stray or feral cats” by 2025".

Peter Dormon waxes lyrical over WCC voting to implement compulsory microchipping of Cats and states research he's reviewed suggests there are some 1.2 million domestic Cats in New Zealand who "still require a chip". So let's do some basic number crunching. Vets we have spoken to have quoted around $100 all up to microchip a Cat.(consultation, the chip and registration with NZCAR).

Our estimate is there's about 120 Million dollars to be made from forcing a microchip on every NZ domestic Cat. The vets get their cut, the environmental extremists get an open season to satisfy their blood-lust, the SPCA are rewarded with a reduced number of unwanted Cats presenting, and all profits made by the non-profit NZCAR are fed back to NZCAC, so they have lots of funding to proceed with whatever their next 'project' is. Business is business, even when it includes mass exterminations. Everyone's a winner aside from the Cats and the people who serve them.

The Technology: Halo Scanner & The Scanner Angel System

On Day 2 of the conference, Nick Smith will speak about the technology and it's usage. We here at Feline rights are concerned to note that 'Animal Control' is listed as one of it's uses. We were thinking along the lines of compulsory microchipping being used to determine who gets to live and who is slain in cold blood as a misuse of this technology, however, having seen 'animal control' listed in the NZCAC conference brochure as one of the issues Nick will be speaking about, that suggests to us the technology has been designed from the outset as a method to determine who lives and who is put to death.

NZCAC Brochure Screenshot 2

We shared communication with Nygllhuw Morris back in March when our supporters queried if the 'Halo' brand name had anything to do with Gareth Morgan's Halo Project. Nygllhuw stated "Halo scanners pre-date Gareth Morgans campaign" and also "The NZCAR is a not for profit that generates income, we do not accept donations." We were pleased to read both groups had coincidentally selected the 'Halo' name and Gareth Morgan is not involved with the Halo scanners.

However on the NZCAR page on the NZCAC website it states:

Stakeholders of the NZ Companion Animal Register

* New Zealand Companion Animal Council
* New Zealand Veterinary Association
* The Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (SPCA)
* New Zealand Kennel Club
* New Zealand Cat Fancy
* NZVA Companion Animal Society

The page also states:"All profits from the NZCAR are used to help fund animal charities and projects in New Zealand. These are managed by the NZCAC and overseen by a trust made up of representatives from the NZ Veterinary Assn, SPCA, NZCAC, NZ Kennel Club, NZ Cat Fancy, and the NZVA Companion Animal Society".

Just in case you have not noticed where we are going with this, we'll clarify. At least four of the stakeholders in NZCAR have representatives on the Anti-Felinist National Cat Management Strategy Group. Yes them, the ones who hide and would like to see the Animal Welfare Act amended to remove the 'Stray' Cat designation, leaving only 'Owned' Cats (meaning Cats registered with NZCAR) and 'Feral' (meaning anyone without a microchip, thus a candidate for execution). We wonder what 'projects' they might be funding with profits from the NZCAR? National Cat Management Strategy Group perhaps? Like the mythological Ouroboros, the serpent devours itself and renews itself, business as usual, an unending feedback cycle of profit and death.

But wait...There's more!

We were wondering how the vets were going to deal with tens of thousands of honest trusting folk obediently following the directive of the authorities to comply with the compulsory microchipping directive. Well NZCAC has an answer to that, and no doubt there's some more profit in it for them too.

NZCAC To Offer Microchipping Certification

They are selling certification in microchipping to people who are neither qualified vets or qualified vet nurses. Now, we've heard a tale or two about microchipping errors from a couple of vet nurses we know, how well do you think people with zero vet qualifications are going to be performing this task? There's enough literature out there online that detail some horror stories. Today we'll close with the link to just one of those.

Wellington City Council - Animal Bylaw Review 2016

Votes For Cats
"My heart is happy when I'm near the Gods together with a contented Cat"

The original plan for this draconian bylaw was to implement the following:

* Compulsory identification of all Cats via collar and name tag, microchip or tattoo.

* Limitation on the number of Cats per household to three Cats.

* Residents to be prohibited from keeping Cats in any area designated by the council as a 'wildlife sensitive zone'.

* Curfew on Cats between the hours of 7pm to 7am.

Curfew and limitation on the number of Cats per household, along with a total prohibition on residents from keeping Cats in areas the council believes are 'wildlife sensitive zones' were determined to be presently unenforceable, but the council chose to proceed with compulsory identification via microchipping and engage in extermination of all Cats without a microchip ID.

Compulsory microchipping was tendered by Councillor Simon Woolf (1) Goddess willing, this will be his final term of office.

If you oppose the mass extermination of all Cats who do not have the microchip ID, please consider signing the petition.

On 4th August 2016 at a meeting of the WCC Environment Committee, the council voted on the Animal Bylaw Review 2016.

Councillors Who Voted For The Bylaw:

* Mayor Celia Wade-Brown
* Deputy Mayor Justin Lester
* Councillor Iona Pannett (Chair: Environment Committee)
* Councillor Sarah Free
* Councillor Andy Foster
* Councillor Simon Woolf
* Councillor David Lee
* Councillor Ray Ahipene Mercer
* Councillor Simon Marsh
* Councillor Malcolm Sparrow
* Councillor Paul Eagle
* Councillor Mark Peck

Councillors Who Voted Against The Bylaw:

* Councillor Nicola Young
* Councillor Helene Ritchie
* Councillor Jo Coughlan

On 17 August 2016 we understand the council voted unanimously to proceed with the Animal Bylaw.

Wellington City Council Official Position At 29 August 2016

In an email to Feline Rights NZ dated 29 August 2016, the council stated the following on the Animal Bylaw 2016:

  • An 18-month transition period, before requiring all domestic Cats over the age of 12 weeks to be microchipped and registered with New Zealand Companion Animal Register.
  • Banning roosters from urban areas, unless Council permission has been granted.
  • Requiring Council permission to keep more than eight chickens or other poultry birds on a typical urban property.
  • Banning the feeding of animals (including pigeons and stray and feral Cats) except dogs in public places, unless in a designated area. We are currently working to identify suitable areas, such as the Botanic Garden duck pond.
  • Updating the bylaw to reflect the changes to the Dog Policy

The Council also agreed on some other measures to support these bylaw changes, including:

  • Encouraging 'responsible' Cat 'ownership' and promoting the de-sexing of Cats through 'education' and working with 'animal welfare' agencies.
  • Raising with the Government the need for national 'guidance' on Cat 'management'.
  • An Animal Policy will be developed to provide the public with more information.

The Media Had A Field Day With It

The mainstream media had field day with it alright, but strangely aside from a Radio New Zealand journalist who we did not get to speak to, the pro-Cat lobby was not approached for comment by any of them despite the press releases we sent out. Now, there's no real reason for us to be blacklisted aside from the possibility of the mainstream media media being complicit with the Morgan cult's social engineering campaign. Independent news outlet Scoop was smart enough to take our press releases seriously, big thanks to journalist PCGM and Scoop.

3 August 2016 - Hidden Agenda Over Cat Bylaw

For us to pass comment on all of it would take the rest of the year, and quite frankly we have bigger fish to fry. It's all standard media spin, so we'll just provide some of the links for now, and the rest when we next update.

The One That Creeped Us Out The Most

4 August 2016 - Press Release NZVA - "Wellington Cats Will Be Safe And Sound"

We'll complete our coverage with this downright creepy press release from NZ Veterinary Association, Head of Veterinary Services, and National Cat Management Strategy Group member Callum Irvine. We challenge readers to strip away the candy coated social engineering spin and confront the poison contained within. We'll have some things to say about this one soon enough, for now we can say no one who keeps Cats feels safe, thanks to scumbags like you Callum.

Feline Rights NZ agrees with the idea of desexing Cats, because experience demonstrates a desexed Cat is a happier, healthier Cat. We strongly disagree with the other measures, in particular compulsory microchipping, because the council along with their 'private partners' wish to conduct mass exterminations of all Cats without the microchip ID.

Independent animal advocate Kent Duston spoke before the meeting on 4th August on behalf of the Cats, pointing out the council lacked the legal mandate to proceed with the Animal Bylaw Review. The majority of the council chose not to listen to reason, and after the vote Kent's closing comment to the council was "see you in Court".

Representatives from the secretive National Cat Management Strategy Group, namely Morgan Foundation General Manager Geoff Simmons and New Zealand Veterinary Association Head of Veterinary Services, Callum Irvine also addressed the council before the vote. Download the NCMSG address and read between the lines carefully. Two things are clear. The Morgan Cult has infiltrated and compromised all organisations with representation on NCMSG, and it's clear they want to kill en mass.

National Cat Management Strategy Group Address To Wellington City Council (10.6kb)

16 August 2016

Open Letter To Mayor Wade-Brown, CEO Kevin Lavery, And All Councillors

On the day before the full Council meeting when you will engage in the final vote on the Animal Bylaw, as the secretary of Feline Rights New Zealand, not to mention as an individual who holds Cats in the highest regard, it is my solemn duty to write to you all expressing my deepest displeasure of what it is you are about to do.

The matter in question is the compulsory microchipping of Cats.

In New Zealand everyone has the right of freedom of speech, without it we would not be a democratic society, but once Government takes extremist ideology and attempts to cast extremist ideology into law, that's when alarm bells start ringing, and all good citizens have a moral obligation to mobilise and defeat the seeds of extremism before they take root within the law and grow into something monstrous.

That is why I speak to each of you today

I will first address the environmental extremist faction amongst the elected representatives. Namely Mayor Wade-Brown and Councillors Pannett, Foster, Free, Woolf and Ahipene-Mercer. As you folk appear certain you are right, there is no point in attempting negotiation with any of you. Therefore my only message to each of the environmental extremist faction is this:

There is no place for totalitarianism in New Zealand. I formally request each of you follow Mayor Wade-Brown's example and resign, because as totalitarians, you are unsuitable to govern in a democratic society.

To the individual elected representatives who voted against the animal bylaw, namely Councillors Young, Ritchie and Coughlan we thank you for voting against the bylaw on 4th August, your vote on this matter was a vote for common sense.

We encourage the remaining Councillors who voted for the bylaw on 4th August to read on in the hope you will educate yourselves, be responsible and follow the example of Councillors Young, Ritchie and Coughlan and that your final vote on the matter will be a vote for common sense.

There has been a carefully orchestrated propaganda campaign about 'Cat control' in the Council's own media releases and other media releases from organisations connected with the Council such as Zealandia Sanctuary, Victoria University, Wellington Zoo, and others. The mainstream media has been complicit in conducting the orchestrated libelous propaganda campaign against the Cats.

This propaganda may have ensnared some, but from the outset the more intelligent folk in the community have seen through the propaganda and the Council's intent has been clear to us from the beginning.

Factions within the elected representatives of the Council and salaried Council staff wish to engage in a Feline holocaust and kill as many Cats as they can. Given what is planned amounts to an act of political suicide we are presently investigating what the individual and collective incentives might be.

Additionally, we note the Council has been financing the propagation of environmental extremist dogma to other local bodies. We have documented proof the Council has been financing Urban 'Ecology' team leader Myfanwy Emeny to act in official capacity on behalf of the Council to engage in the dispensation of the doctrine of Gareth Morgan's genocidal hate group.

Namely to address the Cat-hater's meeting in Richmond on Monday 13th June 2016 hosted by Tasman District Council, not to mention her forthcoming engagement on 21st September 2016 at the New Zealand Companion Animal Council conference. NZCAC is well recognised as an organisation which has been totally infiltrated and corrupted by the Morgan cult.

Our view is the Council funding the dispensation of Morgan cult doctrine is a misuse of ratepayer's funds. We formally request the Council immediately cease funding these activities.

Going by the recently leaked legal consultation documents, the intention of the Council is not one of 'protecting native wildlife' or dealing with supposed 'public health issues' or supposed 'public nuisance'. Neither is this bylaw about genuine 'animal welfare'.

In truth, this bylaw amounts to nothing more than a license for mass murder.

If microchipping Cats is made mandatory, when the mass exterminations begin, it appears the nefarious task of the mass murder of Cats will be subcontracted out to private environmental extremist groups.

Sooner or later much loved Feline family members will be killed. The media will have a field day with it. This will divide the community, bring the Council as an organisation into disrepute and precipitate social unrest.

Those of us who know history are well aware of the other regime that used compulsory identification and curfews followed by the mass extermination of those who were deemed to be problematical and therefore disposable.

Without a doubt, what you are attempting to do is no better than what the Nazis did to the Jewish people. An orchestrated denigratory propaganda campaign followed by production line style mass exterminations.

This will never, ever be tolerated in Aotearoa.

Compulsory Microchipping = A License For Mass Murder

At the final vote if you vote to embody this as bylaw, blood will inevitably be on the hands of each who voted for it.

Via our network of dedicated supporters and informants we will investigate and document what occurs next, eventually all parties involved in this matter will be exposed to the public for the disreputable individuals they are.

We will oppose this business until the public recognise the orchestrated libelous propaganda campaign against the Cats for what it is...lies. We will oppose it until the present mass hysteria against the Cats has been totally neutralised. We will oppose it all because morally it is the right thing to do.
